    摘要: A process for preparing perfluorovinylethers having general formula: RfO—CF═CF2   (IA) wherein Rf is a C1-C3 alkyl perfluorinated substituent; comprising the following steps:1a) fluorination with fluorine of olefins of formula: CY″Y═CY′Cl   (II) wherein Y, Y′ and Y″, equal to or different from each other, are H, Cl, Br, with the proviso that Y, Y′ and Y″ are not contemporaneously hydrogen; and obtainment of fluorohalogencarbons of formula: FCY″Y—CY′ClF   (III) wherein Y, Y′ and Y″ are as above; 2a) dehalogenation or dehydrohalogenation of the fluorohalogencarbons (III) and obtainment of fluorohalogen olefins of formula: FCYI═CYIIF   (IV) wherein YI and YII, equal to or different from each other, have the meaning of H, Cl, Br with the proviso that YI and YII are not both H; 3a) reaction between a hypofluorite of formula RfOF and a fluorohalogenolefin (IV), obtaining the fluorohalogenethers of formula: RfO—CFYI—CF2YII   (I) wherein YI, YII, equal to or different from each other, are Cl, Br, H with the proviso that YI and YII cannot be contemporaneously equal to H; 4a) dehalogenation or dehydrohalogenation of the compounds (I) and obtainment of the perfluorovinylethers (IA).

    摘要: Production processes and systems are provided that include reacting halogenated compounds, dehalogenating compounds, reacting alcohols, reacting olefins and a saturated compounds, reacting reactants having at least two —CF3 groups with reactants having cyclic groups. RF compositions such as RF-intermediates, RF-surfactants, RF-monomers, RF-monomer units, RF-metal complexes, RF-phosphate esters, RF-glycols, RF urethanes, and/or RF-foam stabilizers. The RF portion can include at least two —CF3 groups, at least three —CF3 groups, and/or at least two —CF3 groups and at least two —CH2— groups. Detergents, emulsifiers, paints, adhesives, inks, wetting agents, foamers, and defoamers including the RF-surfactant composition are provided. Acrylics, resins, and polymers are provided that include a RF-monomer unit Compositions are provided that include a substrate having a RF-composition thereover. Aqueous Film Forming Foam (“AFFF”) formulations are provided that can include RF-surfactants and/or RF-foam stabilizers are provided.

    摘要: A guest-host assembly having a generally spheroidal host assembly formed of trimers of calixarene molecules in a hexagonal close-packed assembly and its preparation. The calixarene trimers are associated together predominantly by van der Waals forces to provide dilated channels having void volumes within the range of 100-200 null3. A guest component, such as hydrogen, methane, or another hydrocarbon or halocarbon, is encapsulated within the dilated channels of the spheroidal host assembly and retained within the channels primarily by van der Waals forces. The guest-host assembly is stable at a temperature of 150null C. or higher. The temperature at which the onset of the release of the guest component occurs is within the range of 150-300null C.

    摘要: A process for producing a fluoroolefin of the formula: CF3CY═CXnHp wherein Y is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom (i.e., fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine); X is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom (i.e., fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine); n and p are integers independently equal to 0, 1 or 2, provided that (n+p)=2; comprising contacting, in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst, a compound of the formula: CF3C(R1aR2b)C(R3cR4d), wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently a hydrogen atom or a halogen selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine, provided that at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is halogen and there is at least one hydrogen and one halogen on adjacent carbon atoms; a and b are independently=0, 1 or 2 and (a+b)=2; and c and d are independently=0, 1, 2 or 3 and (c+d)=3; and at least one alkali metal hydroxide. The alkali metal hydroxide can be, for example, potassium or sodium hydroxide and the phase transfer catalyst can be, for example, at least one: crown ether such as 18-crown-6 and 15-crown-5; or onium salt such as, quaternary phosphonium salt and quaternary ammonium salt. The olef in is useful, for example, as an intermediate for producing other industrial chemicals and as a monomer for producing oligomers and polymers.
