摘要: A stick pump assembly includes a tube having a first end, a second end, and an axis extending through the first and second ends. The tube accommodates fluid to flow therethrough. The stick pump assembly also includes a pump including a motor and an impeller. The pump has an inlet adjacent the first end and in fluid communication with the tube. The stick pump assembly further includes a handle having an outlet adjacent the second end and in fluid communication with the tube. The handle includes a receptacle configured to receive a battery pack. The stick pump assembly also includes a filter assembly supported by the pump and in fluid communication with the inlet. Fluid flows into the stick pump assembly though the inlet, around the motor, through the tube, and out of the stick pump assembly through the outlet.

摘要: A volute for a pump featuring a volute or casing having a pump inlet for receiving a fluid being pumped, a pump discharge for providing the fluid, and a volute or casing vane forming double volutes therein. The volute has an upper cutwater farthest from the pump discharge defining an upper cutwater throat area and an end of passage for the upper cutwater, and also has a lower cutwater closest to the pump discharge defining a lower cutwater throat and a corresponding end of passage for the lower cutwater. The upper cutwater throat area is dimensioned to be greater than and not equal to the lower cutwater throat area so the upper cutwater throat area and the lower cutwater throat area provide substantially equal flow velocity at both the upper cutwater and the lower cutwater in response to an angular sweep of the fluid being pumped. The end of passage for the upper cutwater is dimensioned with an upper cutwater passage area that is greater than and not equal to a corresponding lower cutwater passage area of the corresponding end of passage for the lower cutwater so that upper and lower cutwater passage areas at the pump discharge are balanced as a function of differing rates of flow of the fluid being pumped therein and so that the fluid being pumped from associated ends of the upper and lower cutwater passage areas meets at the pump discharge with a substantially equal velocity.

摘要: Centrifugal pump systems and related methods are disclosed herein that can shift a best efficiency point of a pump based on one or more operating conditions to operate more efficiently across and/or adjust to a broader range of conditions. Pumps provided for herein can include an adaptive volute in which a geometry of the volute can be adjusted to shift an operating efficiency of the pump. In some embodiments, a height or radial dimension of the adaptive volute can be adjusted based on one or more operating condition. A geometry of the adaptive volute can be adjusted during operation of the pump and/or while an impeller is disposed within the volute. In some embodiments, a first and second collar can be disposed within the adaptive volute. Rotation of the first component can move the second component axially, which can expand or contract an axial dimension of the adaptive volute.

摘要: A pump for use with fluids having particulates has an inlet to allow the fluids into a chamber of the pump. The chamber has a direct flow path of at least one larger width than a side flow path, and has a movable blade and diffuser stack within the chamber. Power features of the pump cause the movable blade to impart a centrifugal force on the fluids within the chamber, while at least one protrusion located circumferentially with respect to the chamber causes the particulates of a direct flow path to gather or causes the particulates to divert from a direction associated with at least one cavity of the chamber.

摘要: An electric submersible pump having a housing with side walls and at least one stackable diffuser residing within the housing. The stackable diffuser can have a diffuser side wall forming an annular gap between the outer surface of the diffuser side wall and the inner surface of the housing side wall. A filler can be provided within the annular gap to prevent recirculation and/or rotation of the diffuser within the housing. Additionally or alternatively, an O-ring can be disposed within the annular gap to prevent recirculation and/or rotation of the diffuser within the housing.

摘要: A system and method of producing fluid from a wellbore, and that separates water from the fluid. The system includes an electrical submersible pumping system with a pump having impellers and diffusers, and a separation system at a discharge end of the pump. The separation system includes a helical flow path and separation chamber downstream of the path. Directing the fluid through the helical flow path centrifugally separates the water from the fluid. Thus when the fluid flows into the separation chamber from the helical flow path, the water migrates to the outer radius of the separation chamber. The separated water flows through ports on the outer sidewall of the separation chamber, and the lower density portion of the fluid flows through a port proximate a middle portion of the separation chamber.

摘要: A back-to-back centrifugal pump comprising a pump inlet, a pump outlet, a pump shaft, a set of first stages, and a set of second stages in a back-to-back arrangement. Between the two sets of stages an intermediate crossover module is arranged. The first and second sets of stages comprise respective first outer diaphragms and second outer diaphragms. The outer diaphragms and the intermediate crossover module are stacked together and form a pump casing. The intermediate crossover module forms at least one axial transfer channel between the two sets of stages, and a fluid connection between the set of second stages and the pump outlet. The second diaphragms comprise each at least one peripherally arranged through aperture. The through apertures are aligned to form at least one passageway, which fluidly connects the axial transfer channel with a most upstream one of the impellers of the second set of stages.

摘要: A downhole assembly of an artificial lift system includes: an adapter for connection to production tubing; a receptacle shaft; an up-thrust bearing; a centrifugal pump; and a down-thrust bearing. The receptacle shaft has a latch profile for receiving a latch fastener of a drive coupling and a torsional profile for mating with the coupling to longitudinally and torsionally connect thereto. The centrifugal pump includes: a diffuser connected to the adapter; a pump shaft torsionally connected to the receptacle shaft; and an impeller connected to the pump shaft. The down-thrust bearing includes: a thrust driver longitudinally and torsionally connected to the pump shaft; and a thrust carrier connected to the adapter.
