A vibration dampener is mounted to the axial end portion of the output shaft, and a mechanical fastener is received by the axial end portion of the output shaft. The mechanical fastener operatively connects the vibration dampener to the output shaft.

An opening can be formed completely through the bracket and extend from the first face to the second face, a centerline of the opening being at least 2.5 cm closer to the first end than the second end, and an angle between the opening and the bracket being in a range of 85-89° or 91-95°. A bearing can be fit in the opening and a rubber bushing can be disposed between the bracket and the bearing. First and second bolt openings can extend into the bracket.

摘要: A drive shaft is formed by welding two spline shaft heads to a hollow middle section of tubing. The spline shaft head includes teeth which are crowned to permit an angular offset of the drive shaft relative to cylindrical splines of connectors, such that the end faces of the teeth define a barrel shape. The teeth of the spline shaft head include a side face curvature, defining a football-shaped tooth cross-section. Torque is rotationally transmitted across a permitted angular offset of the drive shaft relative to cylindrically arranged linear splines of drive and driven connectors (i.e., relative to the engine output axis of rotation and the differential input axis of rotation), thereby avoiding the use of prior art universal joints.

摘要: An input arrangement for a drive axle system and a drive axle system are provided. The input arrangement comprises a splined sleeve and an input shaft. The splined sleeve has a first end drivingly engaged with a portion of a driveshaft and a second end which defines a splined recess. The input shaft has a first splined portion on an end of the input shaft. The first splined portion is complimentary to and axially slidably engageable with the splined recess of the splined sleeve. The input arrangement for a drive axle drive system eliminates a need for a companion flange, reduces a weight of the drive axle system, and reduces noise, vibration and harshness.

The telescopic shaft includes a first shaft including a first coupler having an inner circumferential surface including an external straight groove and an external inclination groove formed thereon, the external straight groove having a semi-circular cross section and being formed in parallel to a rotation axis and the external inclination groove having a semi-circular cross section, being inclined with respect to the external straight groove at a predetermined angle, and being shaped like a spiral, a second shaft including a second coupler inserted into the first coupler and having an outer circumferential surface including an internal straight groove and an internal inclination groove formed thereon, the internal straight groove having a semi-circular cross section and corresponding to the external straight groove and the internal inclination groove having a semi-circular cross section, being inclined in an opposite direction to the external inclination groove at a predetermined angle with respect to the internal straight groove, and being shaped like a spiral, and a plurality of balls arranged in a line in an axial direction between the external straight groove and the internal straight groove, one ball being arranged between the external inclination groove and the internal inclination groove, wherein the first shaft and the second shaft are coupled to extend and retract in an axial direction, thereby preventing play from occurring in a circumferential direction and preventing separation of balls.

When the case is fixed to the bracket, a first abutting portion of a case main body is in a state abutting against a first bracket abutting portion of a bracket main body in the first direction, and a second case abutting portion of the case main body is in a state abutting against a second bracket abutting portion of the bracket main body in a second direction that forms a right angle with the first direction. There is a region where the case and the bracket are separated between the abutting locations of these abutting portions.
