    摘要: A transmission for a walk-behind wheeled vehicle, the transmission being of the type including at least one casing (2) housing a driver member (3), equipped with rotary drive motor means (4), a rotary driven member (5), two wheel drive shafts (6A, 6B) in alignment, two clutch mechanisms (8) each of which is disposed between the driven member (5) and a wheel drive shaft (6A; 6B), each clutch mechanism (8) being activated by the driven member (5) being driven in rotation forwards, and deactivatable by the wheel drive shaft (6A; 6B) with which it co-operates being driven in rotation forwards, when the speed of rotation of the wheel drive shaft (6A, 6B) is greater than the speed of rotation of the driven member (5). The rotary drive motor means (4) for driving the driver member (3) in rotation are motor means that can be controlled to rotate in two directions of rotation, and each clutch mechanism (8) is of the type that is deactivatable merely by the driven member (5) being driven in rotation in the backwards direction.

    摘要: A bi-directional overrunning clutch includes a housing and a pair of hubs substantially coaxially aligned within the housing. A pair of roll cages position a plurality of rollers between each hub and an inner cam surface of the housing. The rollers are positioned to wedge between the hub and the inner cam surface when one of the hub and the housing is rotated with respect to the other. End caps are attached to the housing adjacent to the hubs. A friction disk mechanism includes a friction plate rotating in combination with each the roll cage and a spring compressed between the end cap and the roll cage for biasing the friction member into frictional contact with the hub. An intermittent coupler is located between each roll cage and configured to engage the roll cages so as to permit indexing of one roll cage relative to the other.

    摘要: A bi-directional overrunning clutch assembly for engaging secondary driven shafts in a four wheel drive vehicle. The assembly includes a differential housing with a pinion input gear rotatably disposed within it that is engaged to a drive shaft. A bi-directional overrunning clutch housing is engaged to the pinion gear. A roll cage assembly is located inside the clutch housing. A pair of hubs are positioned within the roll cage assembly and connected to the secondary driven shafts. An electromagnetic system controls indexes the roll cage in a first direction relative to the clutch housing a first indexing device for coupling the secondary drive shaft to the secondary driven axles when four wheel drive is needed, and in an opposite direction using a second indexing device when an engine braking condition is needed. A spring assembly is preferably used to bias the roll cage back to a neutral position.

    摘要: A bi-directional overrunning clutch comprising an input gear, a pair of hubs, and a roller assembly is provided. Each hub is engaged to an end of one of a pair of shaft segments of a primary drive axle. The roller assembly is disposed within the input gear and about at least a portion of each hub. The roller assembly includes spring pins, extending from the roller assembly, with ball locks adapted to engage detents on the surface of each hub, so as to form spring pin engagements between the roller assembly and the hubs. In operation, rotation of the input gear causes rotation of the roller assembly. Thereafter, rotation of the roller assembly causes rotation of the hubs via the spring pin engagements. The spring pins, however, are generally adapted to disengage the spring pin engagements when one of the hubs rotates faster than the other hub.

    摘要: A hydraulic pump of a driving force distribution apparatus for right and left axles includes a pump shaft, a swash plate supported tiltably, swash plate tilting and holding mechanism unit for tilting and holding the swash plate to one side or to the other side depending on the direction of rotation of the pump shaft, and a hydraulic oil supply mechanism unit having a cylinder block. The cylinder block holds pistons which reciprocate inside cylinder holes while making contact with a tilt surface of the swash plate at their extremities. When the pump shaft rotates in a forward or reverse direction, the pistons reciprocate to supply hydraulic oil sucked from a tank to a suction port of an operation control valve. Thus, the driving force distribution apparatus can apply relative rotating forces to right and left axles even during backward running, with no increase in the size of the apparatus.
