Abstract:
An electron beam device having a tubular body of elongate shape with an electron exit window extending in the longitudinal direction of the tubular body. The tubular body is at least partly forming a vacuum chamber, the vacuum chamber comprising therein a cathode comprising a cathode housing having an elongate shape, and at least one electron generating filament and a control grid both extending along the elongate shape of the cathode housing. The control grid and the cathode housing are attached to each other by attachment mechanisms. Free longitudinal end portions of either the control grid or the cathode housing are bent in a direction towards each other to form bulge-like shapes for the formation of electron beam shaping electrodes. The invention is further comprising a method of manufacturing the electron beam device.

The invention includes a clamp system having a clamp including a first clamp member separably coupled to a second clamp member, and an opening to a mount portion of one of the cathode and the filament in at least one of the clamp members. Each clamp member includes a surface to engage a mount portion of one of the cathode and the filament. The opening is adapted to receive a positioning tool to position the cathode and the filament relative to one another by moving the mount portion when the clamp is released. The mount portion may include a tool receiving member to facilitate accurate positioning.
Abstract:
A manufacturing method of a plasma display panel and the plasma display panel made using the manufacturing method include the align marks being maintained in a discernible state. The method for manufacturing a plasma display panel includes forming electrodes on a substrate along one direction, and forming align marks on edges of the substrate, depositing a dielectric paste on the substrate covering the align marks, drying the dielectric paste, and baking the dielectric paste to thereby form a dielectric layer. The align marks are left fully remaining such that they are easily discernible, thereby making sealing and other processes easy.
