Abstract:
Responsive to detecting a call from a first user into a call system, a user identifier associated with the first user by the call and user information associated with the user identifier can be added to respective user information stored in an e-meeting data structure associated with the call. Responsive to determining the call system recognizes the voice of the first user, the first user can be identified based on the voice of the first user. Responsive to determining that the user information associated with the user identifier contains information not related to the identified first user, the information not related to the identified first user can be removed from the e-meeting data structure. An e-meeting for the call can be generated, the e-meeting including as participants the first user and at least a second user.
Abstract:
A structure of an interactive collaboration session is generated. The structure is typically based on an activity defined by a leader of the interactive collaboration session. The structure of the interactive collaboration session comprises different levels. For example, the structure of the interactive collaboration session may contain hierarchical levels that include top level items to discuss, a secondary level for responses to top level items, and a tertiary level for responses to the secondary level items. The structure of the interactive collaboration session is displayed to the leader. The leader controls the participants' display of the structure of the interactive collaboration as the interactive collaboration session progresses. For example, the leader may click on a button that disables the participants' ability to make comments during one part of the interactive collaboration session. Later, the leader can click on a button to enable the participants to make comments.
Abstract:
A technique smartly displays video feeds during an online meeting. The technique involves receiving, by processing circuitry, a plurality of video feeds during the online meeting. The technique further involves selecting, by the processing circuitry, a group of video feeds from the plurality of video feeds during the online meeting. The number of video feeds in the group of video feeds is less than the number of video feeds in the plurality of video feeds. Additionally, the number of video feeds in the group is at least two. The technique further involves outputting, by the processing circuitry, the group of video feeds to an online meeting participant during the online meeting. Such a technique enables the number of participants of the online meeting to be essentially unlimited, where only the video feeds deemed most significant (e.g., based on scoring) are shared during the online meeting.
Abstract:
Concepts and technologies are described herein for a mechanism by which participants who have been invited to attend a conference event can provide authentication credentials to join the conference event via a console application. When an individual attempts to join a conference event via a console application, the individual is prompted to provide his or her authentication credentials to join the conference event. The console application may inherit the individual's permissions during the conference event.
Abstract:
A document display support device includes a first processor configured to manage a shared document displayed in three or more terminals each of which has a display device; a memory configured to store at least information corresponding to a display region, of the shared document, displayed in each of the three or more terminals; and a first communication interface configured to perform communication with each of the three or more terminals. The first processor identifies a common region, the common region being common to, out of the three or more terminals, the display region in each of two or more terminals except one particular terminal. The first processor informs said one particular terminal of the common region or a predetermined point of the common region through the first communication interface.
Abstract:
Providing high availability multi-way conferencing. Separate signaling and media components may be provided within an MCU or among a cluster of MCUs. A signaling server may control signaling aspects of a conference while a media server may provide media support for the conference. In the event of media server failure, the signaling server may assign a new media server to provide media support for the conference. A backup signaling server may also monitor the signaling server and may provide signaling support for the conference in the event of signaling server failure.
Abstract:
Technologies for crowdsourced media streaming include a number of mobile computing devices configured to capture media streams and transmit the media streams to a media server. The media server associates the media streams with metadata describing the media streams, including metadata describing an event captured in the media stream. The media server also processes the media streams to generate additional metadata. A number of client computing devices may submit media stream requests to the media server, and the media server contemporaneously streams matching media streams to the client computing devices as the media streams are captured by the mobile computing devices. The client computing devices may transmit feedback information relating to the media stream to the source mobile computing device via the media server. The client computing devices may display the media streams alongside or overlaying other media such as a broadcast media event. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
In order to provide compatibility between WebRTC communication endpoints and legacy communication endpoints that use BFCP, a web media gateways is used to establish a conference call between the communication endpoints that use WebRTC and the legacy communication endpoints that use BFCP. A floor command is received to control the floor of the conference call from a first communication endpoint. The floor command is translated from WebRTC into BFCP or from BFCP to WebRTC. The floor command is sent to the second communication endpoint. This allows a conference call where communication endpoints support both WebRTC and BFCP.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for voice communication. For example, multiple friendship chains are acquired from a relation server upon launching an application; a voice room is accessed via a voice server upon receipt of a voice-communication request from a user; a voice-invitation signal is sent to the relation server, the voice-invitation signal including identification of the voice room, where one or more friends of the user in the friendship chains determine whether to access the voice room based on at least information associated with the voice-invitation signal; and one or more voice connections associated with the one or more friends are established via the voice server in response to the friends accessing the voice room.
Abstract:
A system for managing a broadcasting platform includes a gateway device having a processor providing a broadcast media stream to a primary conference room of a telephony conference platform of a gateway device. The gateway device relays the broadcast media stream from the primary conference room to a secondary conference room of the telephony conference platform. The gateway device next broadcasts the broadcast media stream from the secondary conference room to a plurality of user devices. Each user device is connected to the telephony conference platform via a respective user telephony connection between the user device and the secondary conference room.
