摘要: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for automatically connecting to a relay service and establish a captioning communication session during a call between a hearing-impaired user and a far-end user. The apparatus includes communication elements configured to receive captions from a relay service, and a processor configured to automatically connect to the relay service and establish a captioning communication session during a call responsive to a determination that a connection to the relay service failed during a time in which the hearing-impaired user desired captions to be enabled. A method includes determining captions are desired by the hearing-impaired user at a first time to be enabled for display to the communication device during a call, detecting a failed connection to the relay service at a second time, and automatically connecting with the relay service and establishing a new captioning communication session at a third time during the call.

摘要: An architecture is provided for handling event notifications generated by a speech analytics module (“SAM”) that recognizes keywords present in the audio of a call between an agent in a contact center and a remote party. In one embodiment, an event handler module receives and forwards the event notifications to various application specific modules (“ASMs”). The forwarding process may vary on the content and/or type of event notification received. Each ASM performs the processing for a particular audio context and may generate call instance data that pertains to the audio context and indicates whether the agent complied with various requirements during the call. The call instance data may be stored in a file for evaluating the agent's performance. The ASM may also perform other actions as appropriate, such as providing visual indicators on the agent's computer desktop or notify the agent's supervisor.

摘要: An outgoing call control method for an in-vehicle head unit equipped with a voice recognition function includes connecting Bluetooth communication with a user device when vehicle is powered on. Whether or not an existing voice recognition database is present is checked. Phone book information is downloaded from the user device through the connected Bluetooth communication. Voice recognition for an outgoing call is performed using the existing voice recognition database during download of the phone book information if the existing voice recognition database is present.

摘要: Unwanted calls are detected by determining all calls which are unverified by prior prompting the caller to provide data, such as “press 5 to be connected” or “say ‘proceed’” before being allowed to connect. Once connected, the called party may indicate that the call was/is unwanted and should be disconnected. Then, the call is disconnected from the called party while being maintained with the switch. The call is also recorded in embodiments of the disclosed technology, with the audio therefrom, or audio signature, being used to detect future unwanted calls. The detection of future unwanted calls may further be modified or determined based on association of called parties to each other, which, additionally, may be used to change the threshold of closeness of audio signatures between calls.

摘要: A computer-implemented system and method for facilitating call sessions via messages is provided. Two or more call sessions are monitored and each call session is processed by receiving speech utterances from one of the participants and transcribing the speech utterances into text. The transcribed speech utterances are provided to another participant in the call session. Text messages from the other participant are received in response to the transcribed speech utterances and provided to the participant as synthesized speech. During each call session, an ongoing log of messages including the transcribed speech utterances and the text messages for that call session is generated. Annotations from one or more of the participants to that call session are added to the call log.

摘要: Interactions between users on mobile devices can be facilitated by making the users aware when other users have performed similar searches. In one embodiment, when two users executing a mapping application on a mobile device each perform a similar search in a similar geographic area, the server that receives and performs the search request can make each user aware of the other's presence, for example by displaying an icon indicating the other user on the mapping application. The search results may be refined to indicate search results in a geographic area common to the geographic search areas of each user.

摘要: Techniques related to electronic meeting intelligence are disclosed. An apparatus receives audio/video data including first meeting content data for an electronic meeting that includes multiple participants. The apparatus extracts the first meeting content data from the audio/video data. The apparatus generates meeting content metadata based on analyzing the first meeting content data. The apparatus includes the meeting content metadata in a report of the electronic meeting. If the apparatus determines that the audio/video data includes a cue for the apparatus to intervene in the electronic meeting, the apparatus generates intervention data including second meeting content data that is different from the first meeting content data. During the electronic meeting, the apparatus sends the intervention data to one or more nodes associated with at least one participant of the multiple participants.
