Abstract:
Reflector lamp, particularly metal halogen vapor reflector lamp, comprising a reflector, which is rotationally symmetric about a central axis and which encloses, together with a cover, a lamp interior and which tapers toward a neck region opposite the cover, wherein a burner comprising a burner space and also pinched seals, which lie diametrically opposite each other on opposing sides of the burner space and through which corresponding supply lines are run, is arranged on the central axis in the lamp interior, wherein a tubular shielding enclosure, which is connected to the burner by means of a spring clip, is provided at least partially surrounding the burner.
Abstract:
In a light emitting module arranging therein a plurality of LEDs, each LED includes: an LED chip; and an anode connected to the LED chip. The anode includes: a support surface supporting the LED chip; and an extending part extending with respect to the support surface, and the extending parts in the plurality of LEDs separate from each other.
Abstract:
A multi-functional shroud/arc tube support or clip (40a) for a high intensity discharge lamp (10). The support (40a) has one end (42) formed to engage a shroud (20). The one end (42) is formed as an arcuate member (43). A middle portion (44) is formed of separated, depending legs (46, 48) defining a space (50) therebetween for clasping the substantially rectangular pinch seal (52) of a quartz arc tube (14). The central section (53) is formed to clasp the cylindrical capillary (54) of a ceramic arc tube (14a). The central section (53) comprises the bight of a pair of U-shaped legs and the bights are provided with opposing, substantially hemi-cylindrical concavities (53a).

Abstract:
Color cathode-ray tube comprising a color selection mask (8) placed on a metal frame (19), the said frame comprising, on at least two opposite sides, means of damping vibrations of the mask, of the type comprising two masses (51) connected to the surface of the frame by a connection having a mechanical clearance between the facing surfaces of the mask and of the frame.
Abstract:
A fluorescent character display tube has an anode base plate, a frame, a filament supporting member, and a fixing layer. The frame is provided above the anode base plate and the filament supporting member is welded on the frame. The fixing layer is provided between the frame and the anode base plate such that the frame is securely and air-tightly fixed to the anode base plate. The fixing layer may be a low melting point glass layer or a high heat-resistant resin. The high heat-resistant resin may be polyimide. The arrangement enables to reducing the vibration of the frame thereby reducing the noise.
Abstract:
A picture display device includes an envelope having a faceplate, having an inner surface formed with a phosphor screen, and a back covering coupled to the faceplate to define an evacuated chamber; filament-like cathode electrodes and electron beam control electrodes disposed within the evacuated chamber for emitting electron beams towards the phosphor screen; a cathode electrode support member for retaining the cathode electrodes and having one of opposite surfaces held in contact therewith; a shape retention plate for retaining at least the cathode electrodes and the support member in a predetermined curved shape; a plurality of support struts for fixing the shape retention plate in a face-to-face relationship with the phosphor screen; and a reinforcement grid structure disposed in contact with a surface of the shape retention plate opposite that facing the phosphor screen so as to follow the curvature of the shape retention plate.
Abstract:
A cathodoluminescent device employs elongated grid electrodes such as small gauge wires for addressing and controlling the brightness of the display, thereby increasing the osmotic coefficient of the grid electrodes. End portions of the cathode filaments are bent into springs to reduced cold terminal effects. The edges of the face plate of the device are curved to reduced the visual effects of mosaic slots. The display may be operated at low anode voltage with increased luminescence so that full screen scanning is possible. Different sections of narrow strips forming a staggered structure strengthens the integrity of the device and reduces dark areas in the display.
Abstract:
The cathode holder 4 has two terminals 8, 9 which are rigidly connected to one another and together form a flange 20 which by means of a pressure bearing with spheres 27, 28 made of a ceramic material is supported in a carrier flange 3 connected to the control electrode 5. The spheres 27, 28 rest in rolling paths aligned in radial direction to the optical axis 14 and provide a centering of the cathode 7 with respect to the control electrode 6 which is independent of expansions.
Abstract:
Beam generating system for electron beam measuring instruments. In prior art beam generators, the life expectancy of directly heated boride cathodes is limited by their thermally disadvantageous mount. The present invention provides a cathode not clamped at the lower end of the crystal shank as was previously standard, but clamped immediately below the cathode tip. The inventive mount of the boride cathode results in the crystal being only insignificantly hotter in the region of the clamping plane than at the electron-emitting tip.
