Abstract: A motor control device for controlling a servomotor to axially move a movement target object includes: a speed detector for detecting the movement speed of the movement target object; an abnormality detector for detecting an abnormality of the speed detector; a motor controller for performing deceleration control on the servomotor to decelerate the movement target object, upon detection of the abnormality; a reference speed generator for generating a reference speed that decreases with passage of time, based on the movement speed when the movement target object decelerates and a predetermined deceleration; a speed monitor for monitoring the movement speed and determining whether or not the movement speed is equal to or greater than the reference speed; and a brake controller for actuating a brake for braking axial movement of the movement target object when the movement speed is determined to be equal to or greater than the reference speed.

Abstract: An electric motor system includes an electric motor, an electric brake, a power line, and a driver. The electric brake is integrated with the electric motor and configured to generate braking force against the drive force. The driver is integrated with the electric motor and the electric brake. The power line connects the electric brake to an electric power source via the driver to supply electric power to the electric brake. The driver includes a first circuit and a conduction bypath. The first circuit connects the electric brake to the power source such that electric power is supplied to the electric brake and disconnects the electric brake from the electric power source. Electric power is to be supplied to the electric brake from the electric power source through the conduction bypath even when the first circuit disconnects the electric brake from the electric power source.

Abstract: A control circuit configured to control an electromechanical brake is provided. The control circuit includes: a switching regulator configured to control a magnitude of voltage applied to a brake coil of the electromechanical brake; wherein said switching regulator includes at least one semiconductor switch, one diode, one capacitor and one inductor; the control circuit is configured such that, in operation, at least one signal from a process sub-system specifies the magnitude of the voltage for the brake coil; and at least one brake applying control signal from a safety sub-system can cause the brake coil voltage to be reduced to a level low enough to apply the brake by opening a switch and each brake applying control signal from the safety sub-system has a corresponding diagnostic feedback signal to the safety sub-system that indicates the state of the corresponding switch. A method and a system are disclosed.

Abstract: This disclosure discloses a brake diagnosis device configured to diagnose a brake of a motor with a brake. The brake diagnosis device includes a brake control part, a diagnosis part, and a signal output part. The brake control part is configured to actuate or release the brake. The diagnosis part is configured to diagnose a presence or absence of an abnormality of the brake while the brake is actuated by the brake control part. The signal output part is configured to output a signal related to a brake abnormality after the brake is released by the brake control part in a case that the diagnosis part diagnoses the brake as having an abnormality.
