    摘要: A shearing machine is disclosed which comprises a work table, a pair of upper and lower blades for cutting a work-sheet, and a feeder for feeding the work-sheet onto the work table for cutting by the blades. A scrap receiver receives scrap cut from the work-sheet by the blades and a scrap remover positioned in front of the blades clamps and holds a piece of scrap from the work-sheet and transports the scrap to the scrap receiver. The scrap remover is movable in a horizontal plane above the work table.

    摘要: In a bending press, the stroke length of a ram member is automatically set based upon conditions such as the angle to be made on a workpiece, the width and configuration of a groove in a lower tool, and the thickness, width and tensile strength of the workpiece. There is also an input device into which the bending conditions are set and a computer for calculating the stroke length of the ram member which is then automatically adjusted. A device for detecting deflections occurring in an overhead beam in the bending press is connected to the computer to compensate for the stroke lengths of the ram member. The press accurately and easily bends sheet-like workpieces into various shapes including those cylindrical and semicircular in cross section.

    摘要: A cutting machine for subdividing material lengths comprises a roller table establishing a transport path along which the material is directed to a cutting zone. A cutting head assembly has a cutting blade for cutting material located at the cutting zone. A front vise assembly is fixed adjacent to the cutting zone with first and second jaws arranged in opposed mutually spaced relationship on opposite sides of the transport path. A first jaw operating mechanism is provided for adjusting the spacing of the first and second jaws between an open position permitting movement therebetween of the material and a closed position clamping the material therebetween. A rear vise assembly is mounted on a carriage underlying the roller table. The carriage is movable in opposite directions parallel to the transport path. The rear vise assembly has third and fourth jaws also arranged in opposed mutually spaced relationship on opposite sides of the transport path. A second jaw operating mechanism is carried on the carriage and operates to adjust the spacing of the third and fourth jaws between an open position permitting movement of the carriage relative to the material and a closed position clamping the material therebetween, thereby establishing a fixed relationship between the material and the carriage. A carriage operating mechanism moves the carriage in opposite direction along the transport path.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to a roll forming machine having a plurality of sequentially-arranged forming units adapted to progressively bend edges of metal sheet into a given shape. The forming units include upper and lower rollers between which the metal sheet is fed and having axes of rotation inclined to one another. Each of the lower rollers includes a bending portion and a holding portion defining a predetermined angle therebetween. The upper roller has two frusto-conical peripheries disposed in confronting relation to the working surfaces of the lower roller and spaced therefrom by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the sheet metal. In order to accommodate sheet metals of different thicknesses, the spacing between the upper and lower rollers may be varied by mounting the upper roller on a swingable mounting means whereby the upper roller is swung along a relatively short arc which approximates a linear path bisecting the angle defined by the working surfaces of the lower roller. The rollers are designed to be "square" for a metal sheet having a thickness at the midpoint of a predetermined range of thicknesses, and there is an approximation of squareness at the end points of the range.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to a punching apparatus for perforating sheet metal or the like, comprising a tool holder having a body portion which includes upper and lower arms extending horizontally from the body portion in vertically spaced alignment from one another to form a throat into which sheet material to be punched may be positioned. Each of the upper and lower arms includes a plurality of spaced bores of different diameters, each of which is vertically aligned with a corresponding bore in the opposite arm. The bores in the upper arm are adapted to receive a plurality of punches of different diameters, while the lower bores are adapted to receive a plurality of dies of different diameters for operatively receiving a corresponding punch during a punching operation. The tool holder is slidably mounted in a work table disposed beneath a vertically movable ram of the apparatus, whereby corresponding ones of punches and dies may be selectively operatively positioned beneath the ram to punch holes of varying diameters.
