摘要: A diffusion sampler includes an elongated tubular structure, a first coupling device, at least a first membrane and a reservoir mechanism. The structure has an outer wall that defines an interior space therein. The outer wall defines a plurality of openings. A membrane is disposed around the outer wall at least in the area of the upper portion of the structure and is configured to allow at least one first selected type of molecule to pass therethrough. A reservoir mechanism is coupled to a bottom portion of the structure and is configured to define a reservoir in the lower portion of the structure that prevents a selected liquid from flowing out of the lower portion of the structure.

摘要: An antenna system includes an elongated conductive plane and an elongated dielectric layer that is disposed on the conductive plane. An elongated graphene nanoribbon is disposed along an axis and is coupled to the dielectric layer at a graphene/dielectric interface. A feeding mechanism is coupled to the conductive plane. The feeding mechanism is configured to accept a signal that excites surface plasmon polariton waves at the graphene/dielectric interface. In a method of making a surface plasmon polariton wave antenna, an elongated conductive plane is formed. An elongated dielectric layer is applied on a surface of the conductive plane. An elongated graphene nanoribbon is applied to the dielectric layer. A signal source is coupled to the elongated conductive plane.

摘要: In a method of driving a hydraulic system, a contracting force is applied to a hydraulic actuator, thereby causing hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic actuator to flow through a first hydraulic pump motor into a first accumulator, thereby causing the first hydraulic pump motor to apply rotational energy to a shaft. The rotational energy from the shaft is applied to a second hydraulic pump motor, thereby causing hydraulic fluid to be pumped from a second accumulator to a third accumulator so as to store energy in the third accumulator. Once energy is stored in the third accumulator, the second hydraulic pump motor is driven with hydraulic fluid stored in the third accumulator so as to apply rotational energy to the shaft, thereby driving the first hydraulic pump motor to pump hydraulic fluid from the first accumulator to the hydraulic actuator, thereby applying an expanding force to the hydraulic actuator.

Each participant conference display typically shows two content sectors under the control of the presenter and a selectable number of other content sectors under the control of the participant. The presenter conference display selectively includes a presenter dashboard for managing the presentation. Each content sector on the participant and attendee conference displays may be enlarged to full screen or reduced to a sector display or an icon with a simple command. The system also includes geo-location display functionality, participant monitoring, attendee chat functionality, and a wide range of additional functionality under the control of the conference presenter and attendees.

摘要: In a method of making a carbon fiber, polyacrylonitrile is dissolved into a first solvent, thereby generating a first solution. A plurality of cellulose nano-structures is dispersed in a second solvent, thereby generating a first suspension. The first suspension is mixed with the first solution, thereby generating a first mixture. The first mixture is spun so as to draw fibers from the first mixture. The fibers are stabilized and then the fibers are carbonized. A fiber includes an elongated carbonized polyacrylonitrile matrix. A plurality of carbonized cellulose nano-structures is in the carbonized polyacrylonitrile matrix.

摘要: A cooling system for an electric motor that includes a stator having a plurality of slot windings and a rotor, coaxial with the stator, having a plurality of magnets, includes a coolant inlet to the motor and a coolant outlet from the motor. A coolant pathway is in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. Heat is transferable from the slot windings to the coolant pathway. A coolant flows through the coolant pathway and is in a liquid phase as it enters the coolant inlet, changing into a gaseous phase as heat is transferred to the coolant from the slot windings. A cooling loop is in fluid communication with the coolant inlet and the coolant outlet. The cooling loop cools the coolant so that substantially all of the coolant is in the liquid phase when it enters the coolant inlet.

The uncured elastomer is cured to form a cured belt member (320), which is removed from the mold (310).
