Abstract: An insertion device includes an elongate member and a stylet. The elongate member has a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and defines a lumen therethrough. The stylet has a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and is slidably coupled to the elongate member. The stylet is configured to move from a first position to a second position with respect to the elongate member. The proximal end portion of the stylet is configured to removably couple a mesh carrier thereto. A portion of the proximal end portion of the stylet is disposed outside of the lumen of the elongate member when the stylet is in its first position and is disposed within the lumen when the stylet is in its second position.

Abstract: An endoscopic device includes a handle body operatively couplable to a shaft housing. The handle body includes an actuator for controlling a distal end of an endoscopic shaft extending from the shaft housing. The device also includes a pull wire attachment configured to operatively couple to a pull wire extending through the shaft housing and the endoscopic shaft to the distal end. Applying tension to the pull wire deflects the distal end of the endoscopic shaft. In addition, the device includes a pulling mechanism coupled to the actuator and having the pull wire attachment extending therefrom. When the pull wire attachment is operatively coupled to the pull wire, actuation of the actuator applies tension to the pull wire and deflects the distal end of the endoscopic shaft.

Abstract: A medical device configured to be actuated using a first hand may include a handle comprising a proximal handle portion and a distal handle portion, an elongate shaft extending distally from the distal handle portion, wherein the elongate shaft includes a distal tip that is deflectable using a first actuation mechanism secured to the proximal handle portion, wherein the handle includes a port in communication with the elongate shaft, and an actuatable medical instrument configured to be slidably disposed within the elongate shaft and the port. A proximal end of the actuatable medical instrument may be operably connected to a second actuation mechanism secured to the proximal handle portion. The first actuation mechanism may be configured to be actuated by a thumb of the first hand. The second actuation mechanism may be configured to be actuated by the thumb of the first hand.

Abstract: According to an example of the present disclosure, a retrieval device having a contracted state and an expanded state may include at least three support members each having a lumen, a fixed proximal end, and a movable distal end, and at least two members movable relative to the support members. Abstract: A medical device may include a luminal body defining a working channel extending between a proximal end of the luminal body and a distal end of the luminal body. The device may also include a carrier defining a pusher thereon. The carrier may be configured to transition between a first state and a second state. In the first state, a distal portion of the carrier may extend within the working channel along a central longitudinal axis thereof. In the second state, the distal portion of the carrier may extend distally of the luminal body. The device may also include a plurality of anchors which may be disposed about the carrier. Also, at least a distal-most anchor of the plurality of anchors may define a surface configured to cooperate with the pusher and further defines a curved wall configured to cooperate with the pusher to rotate the plurality of anchors.
