摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods for controlled combustion and decomposition of gaseous pollutants while reducing deposition of unwanted reaction products from within the treatment systems. The systems include a novel thermal reaction chamber design having stacked reticulated ceramic rings through which fluid, e.g., gases, may be directed to form a boundary layer along the interior wall of the thermal reaction chamber, thereby reducing particulate matter buildup thereon. The systems further include the introduction of fluids from the center pilot jet to alter the aerodynamics of the interior of the thermal reaction chamber.

摘要: The present invention relates to laser deposition and more particularly to use of deposition wire (5, 21) in order to create structures or components. The original deposition wire (5, 21) is reconfigured in order to increase its lateral dimension and so provide a greater overlap with a presented beam (3) from a laser (2). The presented beam (3) therefore more consistently melts the presented reconfigured deposition wire (31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81) in order to form the desired structure or component.

摘要: The Retail Exposure Dispensing Machine is unique in that it can conveniently distribute most small products sold in retail establishments today using little shelf space while holding a lot of product. It continuously displays the product allowing the package advertising to do its' job. Distribution is enabled by pulling a handle connected to a pull slide which will dispense only one unit. Each succeeding pull will dispense one unit until the whole dispenser is empty. Distribution tabs on the mechanical slide allow the dispensing of one unit at a time row after row of product. If a partial pull is enacted and it does not grab another product to give out it will correct itself within one additional full pull. Due to the shelf space saving nature along with its' compact high capacity storage this unique product will have universal appeal!

摘要: A method for depositing material at an intersection region (116) of at least two surfaces (102,104,106,108,110) of a component (100). The method comprises a first deposition process providing material at said intersection and directing an energy beam (114) toward the intersection region to join the material to the component. The beam is maintained at an obtuse angle relative to at least two of the surfaces such that substantially all of the working area of the beam is incident upon the intersection region.

摘要: An actuator (12) is disclosed for example controlling gas flow in a gas turbine engine. The actuator (12) comprises a first portion (14) having shape memory properties, and a second portion (16) formed of substantially the same material as the first portion and having reduced shape memory properties relative to the first portion. The first portion (14) is movable from a first position to a second position at a temperature above the phase transition temperature of the shape memory material of the first portion (14). The second portion (16) is arranged to urge the first portion (14) from the second position to the first position at a temperature below the phase transition temperature of the shape memory material.

摘要: A method of locally repairing a coating (50) on a gas turbine engine nozzle guide vane (26) or a turbine blade (30,30B) comprises removing a damaged portion of the coating (50) from a portion (53) of the article. Any oxidised layer (54) is removed from the portion (53) of the surface of the article. Material is placed on the portion (53) of the article (26,30,30B) to form a patch coating (50B). The material is heated to form a patch coating (50B) on the portion (53) of the article (26,30,30B) and to bond the patch coating (50B) to the portion (53) of the article (26,30,30B) and to the coating surrounding the patch coating (50B). A high energy beam is impinged on the coating (50) and the high energy beam is moved from the periphery (60) of the patch coating (50B) to the periphery (62) of the coating (50) in a pattern (P) to uniformly heat the periphery (60) of the patch coating (50B) and the periphery (62) of the coating (50). The advantage is that a halo effect around the patch coating (50B) is obviated.
