摘要: An internal combustion engine includes neighboring main and auxiliary combustion chambers that are separated by a partition wall including a communicating passage. Ignition of an air/fuel mixture in the auxiliary combustion chamber produces a fuel torch that is jetted into an air/fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber. Under a predetermined operation condition, timing for opening an intake valve is retarded relative to both the timing for closing an exhaust valve and the timing for top dead center of a piston on an exhaust stroke. By retarding the timing for opening the intake valve, residual gas in the auxiliary combustion that is left over from a previous cycle can be reduced.

摘要: An ignition device performs spark ignition to a fuel mixture in a combustion chamber (13) of an internal combustion engine (100, 101) by using a spark plug (50). The spark plug (50) comprises a first electrode (51), a second electrode (52, 11a, 11b, 21), and an insulating member (53, 11c) which is formed from dielectric substance and interposed between the first electrode (51) and the second electrode (52, 11a, 21). By impressing an alternating current between the first electrode (51) and the second electrode (52, 11a, 21), non-equilibrium plasma discharge between the insulating member (53, 11e) and one of the first electrode (51) and the second electrode (52, 11a, 21) is promoted. Igniting the fuel mixture by the non-equilibrium plasma discharge achieves a high ignition performance is achieved with low energy consumption.

摘要: An anionic polymerizable monomer is added to a reaction system in which an anion species which is incapable of initiating polymerization but may react with polymerization inhibiting substances to convert them into compounds that do not inhibit polymerization is present, and then an anion species capable of initiating polymerization is added thereto. It becomes possible to produce high molecular weight polymers and to precisely control the molecular weight thereof even if polymerization inhibiting substances are present in the system or when polymerization inhibiting substances enter from outside.

摘要: The present invention prepares the parameter conversion identification files as the definition information of parameter description for the execution environment setting files for use in a program development server and a connection test server, respectively. In the connection test server, a parameter conversion table is created on the basis of the parameter conversion identification files, and the execution environment parameters of the execution environment setting file acquired from the program development server are converted on the basis of the parameter conversion table to create an execution environment setting file suitable for its own apparatus. Using a location identification file, each file acquired from the program development server is copied into a designated directory to construct an execution environment for the connection test server.

摘要: A silicon sputter target is arranged in a silicon dot forming chamber, and a silicon dot formation target substrate is arranged in the chamber. Plasma is formed from a sputtering gas (typically a hydrogen gas) supplied into the chamber, and chemical sputtering is effected on the target with the plasma thus formed to form silicon dots on the substrate S. Optionally, with the plasma formed from a hydrogen gas and a silane-containing gas at a plasma emission intensity ratio (Si(288 nm)/Hβ) of 10.0 or lower, the silicon dots are formed on the substrate S. The silicon dots are terminally treated with the plasma derived from a terminally treating gas such as an oxygen gas.

The compressor includes a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a piston to draw coolant from the suction chamber, compress the drawn coolant, and discharge the compressed coolant into the discharge chamber, a clutch to be turned on to transmit driving force from a driving source to the piston so that the piston operates and to be turned off to disconnect the driving force of the driving source from the piston so that the piston stops, and a pressure adjuster to adjust a back pressure introduced from the discharge chamber to the back of the piston and thereby adjust a piston stroke. The apparatus comprises a counter configured to count an OFF time when the clutch is tuned off from an ON state until the clutch is next turned on, a determiner configured to determine whether or not the OFF time is less than a predetermined time, and a start torque calculator configured to calculate a start torque of the compressor depending on the determination of the determiner.

摘要: When a PWM signal generating unit (10) sets a duty D of a PWM signal based on command signals (10c), the PWM signal generating unit (10) sets a phase difference φ between each of the PWM signals based on a relation formula of φ (degree)=360 (degree)×D (%)/100 (%), and generates and outputs first PWM signals (10a) and second PWM signals (10b) in which the duty is D (%) and the phase difference is φ (degree). The first PWM signals (10a) and the second PWM signals (10b) are respectively supplied to a first load driving circuit (21) and a second load driving circuit (22) to operate a first motor fan (3) and a second motor fan (4) by a PWM control, respectively.
