摘要: A temperature controller includes a block-shaped heat sink in which a plurality of semiconductor devices to be controlled are mounted, a temperature sensor mounted in the heat sink, and a temperature controlling element mounted on the heat sink. The temperature sensor detects the temperature of the semiconductor devices through the heat sink, and the temperature controlling element responds to an output signal from the temperature sensor for controlling the temperature of the semiconductor devices through the heat sink so that the temperature will be substantially constant. Therefore, the semiconductor devices can be simultaneously controlled in temperature through the single temperature sensor and the single temperature controlling element.

摘要: The transparent conductive layer-built-up material based on the present invention, since it is of the construction that, in a transparent conductive layer-built-up material comprising a base having thereon at least a transparent conductive layer comprised principally of an oxidized product, the transparent conductive layer has on the obverse side thereof a metal or a surface layer containing a metal oxide whose oxidation rate is lower than the intrinsic oxidation rate of the transparent conductive layer, exhibits a high adhesive strength when made adhere to, e.g., the luminescent light-emitting layer of a luminescent display unit and adequately satisfactory sheet resistance and light-transmissivity values, thus showing very excellent characteristics as of a transparent conductive layer-built-up material. Accordingly, if the transparent conductive layer-built-up material based on this invention is used as the transparent conductive layer-built-up material for, e.g., an electroluminescent display unit, the displayed pattern is excellent in the luminance as well as in the contrast, and thus a clear image can be obtained.

摘要: A transcutaneous gas sensor for application to the skin of a patient for bloodless measurement of a partial gas pressure comprises a separable sensing cell and a circumferential heater, the heater being in direct thermal contact with the skin of the patient but not in contact with the permeable sensing face of the sensor cell. A differential temperature measuring thermocouple is utilized to monitor the temperature of the patient's skin and the temperature of the heater to provide a warning of a decrease in local perfusion in the area of the sensing cell.

摘要: A front-loaded cassette tape deck which moves the cassette a greater relative distance than the distance travelled by the table. A table is normally in the fully projected position because the force provided by a pair of springs is greater than the frictional forces and the damping forces provided by damping pulleys. A cassette is placed in a slider and is held therein by a leaf spring. As the table is moved towards the closed position, the slider is moved by cords and pulleys at a faster rate than the table. Thus, the slider is moved relative to the table. The greater travel of the slider causes it to be moved within a holder by the sliding engagement of a plurality of guide members. During this time, the holder is at an upper position. When the table reaches the closed position, the slider is fully disposed within the holder. The holder with the slider then automatically rotates to a lower position, which puts the cassette into operational engagement with a cassette driving section. The holder remains in the lower position until an eject lever is depressed, which causes the holder with the slider to be moved back to the upper position. The table then automatically returns to the fully projected position because the force provided by a pair of springs is greater than the frictional forces and the damping forces provided by the damping pulleys. As the table moves towards the fully projected position, the slider is moved out of sliding engagement with the holder and into sliding engagement with the table due to the relative movement of the slider with respect to the table provided by the cords and pulleys.

摘要: The invention provides a multi-piece solid golf ball having a core, an envelope layer which encloses the core, an intermediate layer which encloses the envelope layer, and a cover which encloses the intermediate layer and has formed on a surface thereof a plurality of dimples. The core is formed primarily of a rubber material, the envelope layer is formed primarily of a specific resin mixture, the intermediate layer is formed primarily of a resin material, and the cover is formed primarily of polyurethane. The intermediate layer and the cover have surface hardnesses (Durometer D hardness) which satisfy the relationship: intermediate layer surface hardness>cover surface hardness. The golf ball has an excellent flight performance and controllability that are acceptable to professionals and other skilled golfers, while also having an excellent durability to cracking on repeated impact and an excellent scuff resistance.

摘要: A metallic gasket including a base plate having a convex metal bead formed, by bending the base plate, between a combustion chamber opening and on the outer periphery portion of the base plate, and a first thickness-increased portion formed thicker than the remaining portions of the base plate to provide a difference in thickness, by which a surface pressure is made to concentrate on the first thickness-increased portion to seal a joint between a cylinder head and a cylinder block when the metallic gasket is disposed between the joint surfaces of the cylinder head and the cylinder block and fastened by clamping bolts. An elastic sealing material is fixed to the convex portion of the metal bead and filled in a concave portion on the reverse side of the base plate to form a rubber bead, and the sealing material is deformed under compression in the through-thickness direction in cooperation with the deformation of the metal bead when the gasket is fastened with clamping bolts. This gasket reduces production cost and preserves a stable sealing performance for extended periods of time.
