摘要: An image of an original document supplied from a scanner portion or the like is, in an attribute-determining portion, subjected to a process for determining whether each pixel is a character pixel or a picture pixel. Thus, separating information is transmitted to a two-layer separating portion and transmitted to a resolution converting portion as data of a separating information plane. The two-layer separating portion separates the image of the original document into a character information plane and a picture information plane in accordance with separating information. The resolution converting portion has a plurality of resolution converting methods. In accordance with transmission attribute information supplied from outside, a transmission-attribute-information recognizing portion selects a resolution converting method independently for each plane. The resolution converting portion uses the selected resolution converting method to subject each plane to the resolution converting process. Each plane submitted to the resolution conversion is formatted in an image-format-lapping portion so as to be transmitted from a transmitting portion through a network.

摘要: An azimuth change quantity .theta. of a road during traveling of a vehicle for a time .delta.t is calculated based on road data provided by a navigation system and a vehicle speed provided by a vehicle speed sensor (at step S3 in FIG. 2). On the other hand, an azimuth change quantity .THETA. of the vehicle is calculated by integrating a yaw rate .gamma. obtained from a yaw rate sensor over the time .delta.t (at step S5). A deviation D between the azimuth change quantity .theta. of the road and the azimuth change quantity .THETA. of the vehicle is calculated (at step S6). When the deviation D becomes equal to or larger than a reference value .beta., it is determined that there is a possibility that the vehicle will depart from the road (at step S9), and a predetermined steering torque is applied to a steering device, so that the deviation is converged into zero (at steps S10 and S11).

摘要: An intercommunication system for a vehicle is disclosed including a judging mechanism for detecting whether a corner exists ahead of a subject vehicle in a traveling direction on a road based on outputs from a navigating mechanism and a map information outputting mechanism in a navigation system. It is judged whether the vehicle speed of the subject vehicle is excessive or an overspeed for safely passing through a detected corner. If the vehicle speed of the subject vehicle is an overspeed, the speed of the vehicle is reduced through an automatic vehicle speed control mechanism and/or an alarm means which alerts the vehicle driver of the overspeed condition. A mechanism is also provided for detecting whether another vehicle is traveling through or approaching a detected corner. If another vehicle is detected, when the subject vehicle reaches a position which is a predetermined distance short of the corner, intercommunication between the subject vehicle and the other vehicle passing through the corner is initiated pertaining to the vehicle speed, the traveling direction and the like through the communication means, so that the subject vehicle can safely and reliably pass by the other vehicle.

摘要: A method of and an apparatus for producing solid models, in which input data consisting of the coordinates of terminal points and a formula of a curved line of each arc of a given wire frame model is read. The coordinates of a node and a set of arcs connected thereto are determined based on the input coordinates of the terminal points. A set of arcs looping around an indivisible surface of the wire frame model are specified as the outermost line surrounding the whole wire frame model. A region of the wire frame model surrounded by the outermost line or division lines is divided into two new partial wire frame models by a new division line starting from a node located on the outermost line or the division lines, traversing the region without making a loop, passing along each of the arcs included in the region only once, and reaching another node located on the outermost line or the division lines. The division is repeated until there remains no arc which has not yet been passed through in any of the partial wire frame models. A a set of arcs looping around each of the further-indivisible partial wire frame models is defined as surface loop.

摘要: An area control system for an image processing apparatus including a input unit 1 for inputting image signals, a area control unit 2 for generating control signals according to a specified area, document type and processing mode, and a processing unit 3 having a plurality of processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . for processing image signals by setting parameters in the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . , comprises a decode unit 4 for generating signals to switch the parameters in the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . of the processing unit 3 by control signals for each area generated by the area control unit 2. The decode unit distributes the control signals from the area control unit to the processing blocks, through the decode unit 4. With such an arrangement, when the area control unit 2 merely outputs the document type and a processing mode for each area, such as an input mode and an output mode, the decode unit 4 automatically generates control signals for the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . and distributes them to the processing blocks. If the decode unit 4 is provided for each processing block 3-1, 3-2, . . . , the processing system and the processing blocks, if required, can be altered or modified for each processing block.

摘要: A matrix unit receives a luminance signal L* for a uniform color space and two color difference signals a* and b*. Then, when a control signal has given instructions for a mono-color editing operation, the matrix means outputs only the luminance signal L* out of the picture image data fed into it, and, when a control signal is given otherwise, the matrix means generates and outputs toner color signals for the colors Y, M, C, and K. A multiplying unit multiplies with a prescribed coefficient the picture image data which are output from the matrix unit, and the multiplying unit multiplies the picture image data with a coefficient for permitting the toner signal output from the matrix unit to pass through in case the control signal has not given any instructions for any mono-color editing operation, and multiplies the input luminance signal L* with four coefficients corresponding to the color as instructed by the control signal and generate four toner color signals for Y, M, C, and K. The coefficients have the data form representing the coverage of the toner colors, Y, M, C, and K.

The opposing surface 21b of the shaft 7b is a convex surface having a V-shaped cross section. The inside surface 20 of the connecting section 10c of the base end section 8c is a concave surface having a V-shaped cross section. The aforementioned problem of vibration is solved by fitting the opposing surface 21b with the inside surface 20c.
