An optical recording medium comprising: a substrate 11; and a recording layer 12, formed on substrate 11; and characterized in that recording layer 12 contains palladium oxide as the main component and contains oxygen at an amount of 19 atom % to 61 atom %.
Abstract:
A storage controlling device is connected to an external device and is able to communicate with each other. The storage controlling device may send/receive data input/output requests to/from the external device, and may execute data input/output processes in response to the data input/output requests. The input/output processes are executed in response to the data input/output requests attached to priority level determining information in an order that is determined based on priority level determining information that is attached as attribute information of the data input/output requests received from the external device.
Abstract:
The subject matter of the invention is a base sheet for the preparation of a flexible printed circuit board which is a three-layered laminate consisting of (a) an electrically insulating film of a plastic resin such as a polyimide, (b) an epoxy resin-based adhesive layer and (c) a copper foil bonded to the film (a) with intervention of the adhesive layer (b). The base sheet can exhibit excellent performance in respect of peeling resistance, soldering heat resistance, dimensional stability and solvent resistance as well as workability into a printed circuit board only when each of the layers (a), (b) and (c) has a specified thickness in a narrow range of 10-30 &mgr;m, 5-15 &mgr;m and 5-15 &mgr;m, respectively.
Abstract:
An IC chip package is fabricated from a substrate carrying an IC chip and formed with a conductive pattern of conductors for electrical connection to the IC chip, and a leadframe having a plurality of connector leads with inner and outer lead sites for electrical connection with associated ones of the conductors and with an external circuit, respectively. Fabrication of the IC chip package is made through the steps of placing the inner lead sites into intimate contact on distal ends of the corresponding conductors, and applying ultrasonic vibrations to contacting surfaces between the inner lead sites and the conductors so as to effect diffusion bonding therebetween. For applying the ultrasonic vibrations, a horn is pressed against the inner lead sites of the connector leads in such a manner as to leave indents in the inner lead sites which act to anchor an encapsulating plastic at the time of encapsulating the IC chip, the substrate, and most of the leadframe, for obtaining tight grip between the encapsulating plastic and the connector leads. At least one of the inner lead site and the distal end of the corresponding conductor may be provided with a suitable plating or bump for facilitating the diffusion bonding.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus for forming an ordinary copy or a tonality image for an original image for a printing master, original image data is divided into a predetermined area, and pixel density within the area is subjected to a density conversion in accordance with screen half-toning information which will increase density information toward the approximate center of these pixels, by way of example. The original image data or the density-converted image data is converted into a binary-coded signal conforming to the density, and an output image is formed in accordance therewith. Preferably, a specific mark is supperimposed on the output image.
Abstract:
Disclosed are mitomycin derivatives of formula (I): ##STR1## where W represents halogen; X represents methoxy, amino or ethylenimino; Y represents hydrogen or methyl; Z represents hydrogen or methyl; and one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represents carbamoyloxymethyl, and the other represents hydrogen. The derivatives are usable as an antitumor and antibacterial agent.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus comprises a pulse-width-modulation signal generator for processing an image signal generated by an image signal generator by using a pattern signal to produce a pulse-width modulation signal. The pulse-width modulation signal generator generates first and second pattern signals of different periods, selects one of the pattern signals in accordance with a property of an image to be processed, and inhibits the generation of the non-selected pattern signal.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus has a CCD, a reference point on a reference plate, an image signal reading circuit, an image signal control circuit, and a CPU. When an optical element is shifted from its normal position, such a positional error can be automatically corrected without requiring readjustment of the optical element.
Abstract:
In a magnetic recording medium comprising a base and a magnetic coating layer formed thereon which consists of ferromagnetic particles dispersed in a binder, the magnetic layer contains from 3 to 15 percent by weight, on the basis of the magnetic powder weight, of abrasive particles having a Mohs hardness of 6 or upward, in such a manner that the average number of the abrasive particles per unit area of the magnetic layer surface is at least 0.25 per square micron. The magnetic powder is a magnetic metal powder based on iron, and the abrasive particles are angular rather than granular in shape.
