    Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

    Abstract: A system and methods for beam failure recovery and management for multi-carrier communications with beamforming are disclosed herein. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor for and detect a beam failure of a beam associated with a secondary cell (Scell). The WTRU may select an Scell candidate beam. The WTRU may transmit using a selected uplink (UL) resource in a primary cell (SpCell) a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including an indication of Scell beam failure and identifying the selected candidate beam. The WTRU may receive an Scell beam failure indication response on the SpCell indicating an SCell index and a downlink (DL) quasi co-location (QCL) reference associated with the Scell. The WTRU may verify that the DL QCL reference matches with the candidate beam. The WTRU may perform random access on the SCell using the selected QCL reference and the selected candidate beam.

    Abstract: A method performed by a WTRU may comprise receiving a plurality of LBT configurations associated with one or more of a beam, a BWP, a LCH, a set of LBT parameters, a transmission type or an LBT subband. The method may further comprise receiving an indication to transmit using a first LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. An attempt to acquire a channel may then be made using the first LBT configuration. The indication to transmit may additionally indicate a second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. Data may be transmitted on the channel when the attempt to acquire the channel is successful. An attempt to acquire the channel using the second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations may be made when the attempt to acquire the channel using the first LBT configuration fails.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for initial access are described herein. A method may comprise receiving a signal in associated time and frequency resources. The signal may have an associated subcarrier spacing and an associated beam, and the signal may include synchronization signals and bits of a master information block. The method may further comprise determining control channel characteristics based on the signal. The characteristics may include a beam of at least one control channel and a location of the at least one control channel. The method may further comprise receiving a transmission over the at least one control channel based on the determined control channel characteristics.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may communicate with a serving cell and monitor suitable non-serving cell(s) may be monitored. Uplink-based forward mobility may be performed. The WTRU may transmit control signaling that may indicate an ordered list of candidate target cell(s) using resources of the source cell.     Abstract: A WTRU may be configured with a plurality of monitoring patterns. The WTRU may determine, based at least in part upon the particular slot in the downlink channel, monitoring occasions for each of the plurality of monitoring patterns. The WTRU determines PDCCH candidates for each of the plurality of monitoring patterns and evaluates the total number of PDCCH candidates for each of the plurality of monitoring patterns against blind detection limits. The WTRU selects one of the plurality of monitoring patterns for the slot based at least in part on determining the PDCCH candidates for the selected monitoring pattern satisfy the blind detection limits.
