Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method, system and apparatus for providing extending NAN networking capabilities to implement upper layer protocols, including, mesh networking. In an exemplary embodiment, NAN network configuration is used by identifying one or more nearby devices that support a similar Routing Protocol Service. The routing protocol may be Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Network (RPL). The RPL may be identified by sending a NAN Service Discovery frames during a NAN Discovery Windows. Nearby devices which support the RPL may respond to the Service Discovery Frame. Once the nearby devices are identified, NAN Multicast Service Group (NMSG) may be formed and routing tables may be established. Multiple unicast NAN data paths may be established based on the routing tables.

Abstract: A transmitter/receiver pair may estimate a first channel interference caused during the spatial reuse phase by the transmitter/receiver pair to other transmitter/receiver pairs over a channel. A second channel interference experienced by the transmitter/receiver pair may be estimated during the spatial reuse phase by the transmitter/receiver pair from the other transmitter/receiver pairs. An interference margin may be estimated for the channel based on the first and second channel interferences. The interference margin may be announced to the other transmitter/receiver pairs in frame. The interference margin may then be complied with while communicating over the channel in order to control the interference.

Abstract: Described herein are mechanisms to inform a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device as to whether or not a second NAN device is connected to a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) master and/or whether the second NAN device is listening to the same DFS master as the first NAN device. In order for NAN client devices to operate in the 5 GHz band and be DFS compliant, all such devices that are communicating in a NAN peer-to-peer manner must either maintain association with a DFS master or must listen to the same DFS master for channel information.

Abstract: Apparatus, computer readable medium, and method for generating and receiving signal fields in a high efficiency wireless local-area network (WLAN) are disclosed. A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) device including circuitry is disclosed. Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and computer readable media for multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local area network (HEW) master station comprising circuitry is disclosed. The circuitry may be configured to: select a first group of stations to transmit a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS) transmission to and generate a MU-RTS packet for the first group of stations. The circuitry may be configured to transmit the MU-RTS packet to the first group of stations. The MU-RTS may include a resource map that indicates a subchannel for each of the first group of stations to receive data on and/or a power control indication for at least one of the stations of the one or more stations. The MU-RTS may indicate that some of the first group of stations should transmit a multi-user clear-to-send (MU-CTS) and others of the first group of stations should not transmit a MU-CTS.
