Disclosed is a registry for candidate transfusion donors, which invokes an inventory management policy to create and actively manage lists of candidate donors in order to minimize imbalances between demand and supply across multiple regions and across multiple categories of donors and recipients. Together with a genotyping laboratory, the registry does targeted recruitment of prospective donors who are typed for a set of genetic markers relating to clinically relevant antigens including mutations of Human Erythrocyte Antigens (HEA), genetic variants of Rh, and possibly additional antigens such as HLA and HPA. The registry monitors incoming demand for transfusion antigen genotypes, preferably stratify the demand into a set of categories representing stable subpopulations, and will apply strategies, disclosed herein, to tune the composition of candidate donor lists to match the demand, thereby avoiding excess, and unnecessary, typing of candidate donors.

The present invention proposes a computer system and a method capable of performing integrity detection, comprising: a running mode unit which comprises an integrity detection boot variable to determine whether or not to initiate an integrity detection boot mode by judging said running mode unit; an EFI integrity detection unit (5), which is used for performing an integrity detection on EFI image codes in the integrity detection boot mode, and comprises an integrity metric value for being compared with an EFI integrity calculated value generated after the EFI integrity detection unit performs the integrity detection on the EFI image codes, to determine the integrity of the EFI image codes; an operating system integrity detection unit (6); and an integrity management unit. The present invention is based on the EFI BIOS to perform the integrity detection on the operating system during the pre-boot stage, having better reliability and security.

A system comprising an implantable medical device (IMD) includes an implantable heart sound sensor to produce an electrical signal representative of at least one heart sound. The heart sound is associated with mechanical activity of a patient's heart. Additionally, the IMD includes a heart sound sensor interface circuit coupled to the heart sound sensor to produce a heart sound signal, and a signal analyzer circuit coupled to the heart sound sensor interface circuit. The signal analyzer circuit measures a baseline heart sound signal, and deems that an ischemic event has occurred using, among other things, a measured subsequent change in the heart sound signal from the established baseline heart sound signal.

The implantable medical device can also include a chemical sensor in communication with the control circuitry, the chemical sensor configured to generate a signal corresponding to the concentration of a physiological analyte that affects cardiac electrical field waveform morphology. The control circuitry can be configured to monitor for the presence of myocardial ischemia by evaluating both the signal generated by the electrical field sensor and the signal generated by the chemical sensor. One or more signal vectors are produced that are associated with all or a portion of one or more cardiac activation sequences based on the source separation. A cardiac response to the pacing pulses is classified using characteristics associated with cardiac signal vectors and the signals associated with the vectors. Further embodiments may involve classifying the cardiac response as capture or non-capture, fusion or intrinsic cardiac activity. The characteristics may include an angle or an angle change of the cardiac signal vectors, such as a predetermined range of angles of the one or more cardiac signal vectors.

The present invention provides a reconstituted complex including EED, EZH2 and SUZ12 wherein the reconstituted complex has histone methyltransferase (HMTase) activity for lysine 27 of histone H3 (H3-K27). The reconstituted complex may further include RbAp48, AEBP2 or both. Also disclosed are methods of producing the reconstituted complex, methods of identifying compounds that inhibit the HTMase activity of the reconstituted complex and methods of identifying candidate compounds for treating cancer. Reagents and kits including the reconstituted complex are further provided.
