    摘要: A lubricating mechanism for a piston type compressor in a refrigeration system. A cam plate is mounted on a drive shaft for integral rotation therewith in a crank chamber, which is defined in a casing. Pistons are coupled to the cam plate and reciprocate in cylinder bores extending parallel to the drive shaft. Each piston compresses refrigerant gas containing lubricating oil mist and discharges the compressed refrigerant gas from the compressor during rotation of the cam plate. The refrigerant gas is supplied into the crank chamber and is circulated in the casing. The lubricating oil is supplied to various moving parts from a location near the drive shaft. An oil pan is provided outside and to the side of the casing for collecting lubricating oil. A recovering passage connects the oil pan with the crank chamber to convey the lubricating oil from the crank chamber to the oil pan for collection. A guide passage guides the lubricating oil collected in the oil pan to the location near the drive shaft using gravitational force. By mounting the oil pan on the side of the casing, the oil pan collects relatively less liquefied refrigerant and more oil, and thus improves lubrication of the compressor.

    摘要: A swash-plate type compressor wherein a plurality of pistons fitted into a plurality of cylinder bores having their center on a circle are reciprocated by a swash-plate secured to a rotary shaft at a tilt angle. A swash-plate chamber rotatably accommodating the swash-plate concurrently functions as a passage for the refrigerant gas sucked, and an annular refrigerant gas passage, whose external diameter is larger than that of a circumcircle of the aforementioned cylinder bores and whose inner side is open to the swash-plate chamber, is formed on the external side of the swash-plate chamber. This annular passage for the refrigerant gas sucked functions as a by-pass therefor, diminishes the flow resistance of the refrigerant gas, and facilitates the cooling of the pistons with a result of reducing the operation noise produced from the engaging portion of the pistons and the swash-plate.

    摘要: Provided is a bipedal walking robot which includes a linear actuator, which connects a crus link and a foot of each leg away from an ankle joint, for driving the foot to rock around the ankle joint with respect to the crus link according to a telescopic motion thereof. The robot is capable of applying a desired moment to the foot for walking on stairs without increasing the linear actuator in size. The linear actuator is disposed in such a way that a telescopic force therefrom acts on a line inclined backward with respect to a connection line connecting a knee joint and the ankle joint. Preferably, a connection portion, which is connected to the crus link, of the linear actuator is disposed backward than from the connection line, and a connection portion, which is connected to the foot, of the linear actuator is disposed forward from the connection line.

    摘要: An automobile moves at a traveling speed in accordance with the position of an acceleration pedal. A compressor is driven by the engine of the automobile. The discharge displacement of the compressor is adjusted by an external control procedure. When the position of the acceleration pedal reaches a determining value, or above at which it is determined that engine power is needed for accelerating the vehicle, the compressor is controlled such that the discharge displacement decreases. The determining value is selected by a controller in relation to the traveling speed detected by a speed sensor. The determining value increases as the speed increases.

    摘要: A viscous fluid type heater includes a heating chamber for holding viscous fluid and a rotor located in the heating chamber. A holding chamber is located below the heating chamber to communicate with the heating chamber. A plunger, which is actuated by a solenoid, is movable between a forward position for maximizing the volume of the holding chamber and a rearward position for minimizing the volume of the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the forward position, viscous fluid is discharged from the heating chamber to the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the rearward position, viscous fluid is supplied from the holding chamber to the heating chamber. This allows the load of the heater to be removed or reinstated selectively. In an engine-driven vehicle, the engine can thus started without being hindered by the heater.

    摘要: A viscous fluid type heat generator having a heat generating chamber in which heat generation by the viscous fluid is performed in response to the rotation of a rotor element applying a shearing action to the viscous fluid, a heat receiving chamber in which a heat exchanging liquid flows to receive heat from the heat generating chamber, a heat generation control chamber for containing the viscous fluid to be supplied into the heat generating chamber and receiving the viscous fluid withdrawn from the heat generating chamber. The heat generator has a fluid supplying passage for supplying the viscous fluid from the heat generation control chamber to the heat generating chamber, a fluid withdrawing passage for withdrawing the viscous fluid from the heat generating chamber into the heat generation control chamber, a flap valve deformable to open and close the fluid withdrawing passage in response to a change in a heating requirement, and a valve deformation supplementing means to provide the flap valve with additional deformation effect to quickly and timely open the flap valve. The valve supplementing means may be a subsidiary fluid port to introduce therein the viscous fluid from the heat generating chamber so as to cause a supplementary deformation of the flap valve.
