Abstract: The invention is directed to controlling therapy delivery based on a relative motion between a first and second activity sensor. The relative motion between the activity sensors is representative of the relative motion between the locations of the body of the patient at which the respective activity sensors are located. The use of relative motion, however, may substantially remove motion experienced by both the activity sensors, e.g., motion caused by the environment in which patient is located, thus providing a new reference frame from which to analyze the motion measurements. The relative motion may be used to detect a condition of a movement disorder and/or control delivery of the therapy delivered to patient to treat or reduce the condition.

Abstract: The invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for performing a precision or personalized Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) therapy session or cycle based on dialysis adequacy measurements in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment. The settings for the precision peritoneal dialysis therapy session can be obtained using one or more flow sensors and one or more uremic solute sensors that measure the uremic solute concentration and volume of the peritoneal dialysate removed from the patient. The desired dialysis adequacy for a specific patient, group of patients, or class of patients, can then be calculated based on the measured peritoneal dialysate concentration and volume. Using the calculated dialysis adequacy, the system and methods can then set one or more peritoneal dialysis parameters for subsequent cycles or sessions.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an implant tool and cannula used to facilitate the implantation of a medical device into a patient. The implant tool includes a housing that is held by a user and a needle attached to the housing. The cannula may be positioned over the needle and delivered to a target tissue within the patient. The cannula includes an electrode at a distal portion to deliver test stimulation to confirm the location of the target site or placement of the implant tool relative to the target site before removing the needle of the implant tool. In this manner, the cannula may be repositioned within the patient until the position of the implant tool and cannula relative to the target site is verified with the test stimulation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a colorimetric gas detector for determining and monitoring gaseous substances. The colorimetric gas detector can be used in any application requiring the detection of substances in a gaseous environment. The colorimetric gas detector has a photodetector, a light source positioned opposite to the photodetector, and a receiving slot for positioning a colorimetric media between the camera and the light source.

Abstract: The invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for priming, disinfecting, and preparing dialysate and related fluids for use in dialysis. The dialysate and related fluids can be prepared from solutes obtained from infusate containers seated in an infusate caddy. The infusate caddy can be removably positioned in a receiving compartment of a dialysis machine. Similarly, the infusate containers containing the necessary solutes for preparing the dialysate and related fluids can also be removably positioned in the infusate caddy.
