摘要: A distributed collaborative computer system is provided that comprises a plurality of server computers interconnected via a high-speed link. Client computers can connect to any available server computer and start or join a conference hosted on either the server computer to which the client computer is connected or any other server in the system. As a result, the system and method of the present invention is easily scalable to support an arbitrary number of participants to a conference by merely adding the appropriate number of server computers to the system. In addition, by replicating the conference information on more than one server computer, the single point of failure limitation is eliminated. In fact, if a server hosting or participating in a conference malfunctions, the failure is detected by other server computers and the client computer is able to reconnect to the conference through a new server computer.

摘要: A method of filling a gap formed between adjacent raised surfaces on a substrate. In one embodiment the method comprises depositing a boron-doped silica glass (BSG) layer over the substrate to partially fill the gap using a thermal CVD process; exposing the BSG layer to a steam ambient at a temperature above the BSG layer's Eutectic temperature; removing an upper portion of the BSG layer by exposing the layer to a fluorine-containing etchant; and depositing an undoped silica glass (USG) layer over the BSG layer to fill the remainder of the gap.

摘要: A method of forming a contact in an integrated circuit between a first metalization layer and a silicon substrate. In one embodiment the method comprises forming a premetal dielectric layer over the silicon substrate, etching a contact hole through the premetal dielectric layer and then forming a thin silicon nitride layer on an outer surface of the contact hole. The silicon nitride layer reduces overetching that may otherwise occur when oxidation build-up is removed from the silicon interface within the contact hole by a preclean process. After the preclean process, the contact hole is then filled with one or more conductive materials. In various embodiments the silicon nitride layer is formed by exposing the contact hole to a nitrogen plasma, depositing the layer by a chemical vapor deposition process and depositing the layer by an atomic layer deposition process. In other embodiments, the method is applicable to the formation of vias through intermetal dielectric layers.

摘要: A chemical vapor deposition apparatus and method for forming an oxide thin film on a surface of a substrate. The system includes a reaction chamber having a support for holding a substrate and an injector positioned to inject gaseous substances into the reaction chamber. The injector includes a central injection port coupled to a source of ozone and at least two outer injection ports positioned on opposite sides of the central injection port and coupled to a source of chemical reagent. Ozone and chemical reagent are separately injected into the reaction chamber through the central injection port and outer injection ports, respectively, with the ozone and chemical mixing in the area between the injector and the substrate.

摘要: A system and method for retargeting video sequences are provided. A method for retargeting a video includes a plurality of frames includes determining saliency information for the plurality of frames, determining a cost metric for the video, and retargeting the video based on the cost metric to produce a retargeted video. The cost metric considers loss due to cropping, scaling, temporal factors, and spatial factors. The retargeting makes use of a crop window for each frame in the plurality of frames.

摘要: In one embodiment, a client device may send one or more sub-session requests to one or more corresponding session controllers through a computer network to obtain one or more corresponding sub-session tokens that indicate in which sub-sessions of an online collaborative computing session the client device is permitted to participate. The client device may then receive particular sub-session tokens (e.g., based on certain permissions), which may then be sent to a collaboration server to establish one or more permitted sub-sessions of the online collaborative computing session with the client device as indicated by the received sub-session tokens.
