摘要: By adopting an appropriate block pattern, a pneumatic tire guarantees the tire ground contact area without impairing drainage performance and enhances on-ice performance. On the tread are formed land portions (5a, 5b) defined by at least one circumferential main groove (3) extending in the tire circumferential direction and blocks (11) in a shoulder land portion (5b) located outermost in the tire width direction among the land portions (5a, 5b), the blocks (11) being defined by narrow grooves (7a, 7b) with a groove width narrower than that of the circumferential main groove (3) and by at least one auxiliary groove (9) with a groove width that increases outward in the tire width direction at least in a region not adjacent to the circumferential main groove. The area of the tread surface of each of the blocks (11) is in a range of 100 mm2 to 200 mm2.

Circumferential narrow grooves (10, 12) having a smaller width than the circumferential grooves (110, 116) are formed in the second ribs (A2, A4). Each circumferential narrow groove (10, 12) is formed in such a manner that, when the tire is mounted on the vehicle, the circumferential groove (10, 12) is located on the outer side of the tire with reference to the center of the second rib (A2, A4) in the tread width direction.

The circumferential main grooves extend in a circumferential direction. The lug grooves extend in a width direction, include shoulder and center lug grooves, and have an end opening to a circumferential main groove. Narrow shallow grooves in center and shoulder land portions have an end opening to a circumferential main groove and have a groove depth of 10-40% of a circumferential main groove depth. The shoulder lug grooves are on an outer side of a shoulder main groove in the width direction and have an end opening to the shoulder main groove. The center lug grooves are between the center and shoulder main grooves, have both ends opening to circumferential main grooves, and have a minimum width wider than a minimum width of the shoulder lug groove.

摘要: A tread portion of a pneumatic tire includes a pair of first main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction formed at a position on either outer side in the tire lateral direction of a first land portion including a tire equatorial plane; a pair of second main grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction formed at a position outward from the first main grooves in the tire lateral direction; and first lug grooves formed in a second land portion between the first main grooves and the second main grooves, the first lug grooves opening to one of the first main grooves at one end and opening to one of the second main grooves at an other end. The first lug grooves have a groove width of 2 mm or greater and have the same inclination direction in the tire lateral direction with respect to the tire circumferential direction.

The center lug grooves and the circumferential main grooves have a narrower groove width than the shoulder lug grooves; and each region of the center blocks includes two first narrow grooves having a curved line shape with no bent portions and having a narrower groove width than the shoulder lug grooves.
