摘要: A vehicle stop maintaining system comprises an automatic transmission, an automatic stop-restart mechanism for automatically stopping and restarting an engine, a foot brake mechanism for braking vehicle wheels through hydraulic brake mechanisms, a brake force control mechanism having a pressurizer that increases hydraulic brake pressure applied to the hydraulic brake mechanisms, and for braking the wheels by controlling the pressurizer independently from brake pedal depression, a controller configured to maintain a vehicle stopped state by operating the automatic stop-restart mechanism to stop the engine and operating the brake force control mechanism to keep initial hydraulic brake pressure according to the brake pedal depression, and a drive force state determining module for determining a drive force stabilized timing. The controller operates the automatic stop-restart mechanism to restart the engine and operates the brake force control mechanism to release the initial hydraulic brake pressure when accelerator pedal depression is detected.

摘要: A method and system for determining a maximum cornering braking threshold for a motorcycle includes determining an absolute lean angle with respect to horizontal and a relative lean angle for the motorcycle relative to a road surface. The maximum cornering braking threshold is determined from at least the absolute lean angle and the relative lean angle. The maximum cornering braking threshold is used to provide stability during motorcycle cornering. A multi-dimensional look-up table stores different maximum cornering braking thresholds that correspond to different combinations of absolute lean angles and relative lean angles. The relative lean angle is determined by processing video data from a video sensor. Values for additional conditions, such as motorcycle speed, wheel slip coefficient, steering angle, mue and type of road way are stored in the multi-dimensional look-up table to assist in determining the maximum cornering braking threshold.

摘要: A variable linked braking system controlled by motorcycle lean angle includes a brake master cylinder; a hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve connected to the brake master cylinder; a front brake unit and a rear brake unit, both connected to the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve; a hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve; a motorcycle lean angle sensor for sensing a motorcycle lean angle and sending a signal thereof to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller; and a brake switch for starting the brake master cylinder and sending a brake signal to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve so that the braking force ratio of the front brake unit to the rear brake unit decreases as the motorcycle lean angle increases, thereby enhancing the stability and traction of a motorcycle being braked in a turn.

摘要: A vehicle stop maintaining system is provided, which includes a foot brake mechanism for braking vehicle wheels by applying hydraulic brake pressure according to brake pedal depression, a brake force control mechanism for braking the wheels by controlling a pressurizer, an electric parking brake mechanism for braking the wheels by operating an electric brake mechanism, and a controller comprising a processor for entering a first stop mode when a vehicle stopped state is detected. The processor executes a first determining module for determining existence of an interruptive factor, and a second determining module for determining a failure of the electric parking brake mechanism. If the interruptive factor exists, the controller executes a second stop mode. If the electric parking brake mechanism is determined as failed under the second stop mode, the controller operates a notification device for issuing a notification to a vehicle driver.

摘要: A driver assistance system is presented, including an event detector which comprises a set of rules defining a surprising event based on signals reflecting a vehicle operator input signals from an object detection sensor. An event data file generator is configured to generate an event data file according to rules comprised in the event detector, the event data file comprising a video signal received from a camera, a signal from at least one dynamic vehicle sensor, and target object information received from the object detection sensor. The event data file generator is further configured to initiate data file generation responsive to a surprising event being detected by the event generator, and wherein the contents of the data file are specified by the rules comprised in the event detector. In this way, surprising events may be collected and analyzed off-board in order to generate updates for the driver assistance system.

A storage portion stores a second relationship that represents a ratio of a braking force of a front wheel brake to a target braking force for each lean angle and/or a third relationship that represents a relationship with a ratio of the braking force of a rear wheel brake to a target braking force for each lean angle. A ratio setter determines which second relationship to refer to among the second relationships stored in the storage portion based on a detection result input to a detection result input portion and/or determines which third relationship to refer to among the third relationships stored in the storage portion based on a detection result input to a detection result input portion. The ratio setter sets a ratio of the braking force of the front wheel brake and the braking force of the rear wheel brake based on the second relationship and/or the third relationship.
