    摘要: Polyurethane elastomer foams can be prepared by mixing an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer obtained by reaction of a polyol with 3,3′-dimethylbiphenyl-4,4′-diisocyanate, with a foaming agent comprising a mixture of water, a low-molecular weight glycol having a molecular weight of 48-200, and a high-molecular weight glycol having a number average molecular weight Mn of 1000-3000 under stirring to conduct foaming reaction. The polyurethane elastomer foams so produced can have a high durability, particularly under a high load, even though a low-cost, easy-to-handle diisocyanate compound is used.

    摘要: A method for preparing carpet by using polyurethane to anneal secondary backing to a greige, comprising fibers attached to a primary backing. The polyurethane monomers are mixed just prior to application to the greige primary backing allowing the relatively low viscosity polyurethane to penetrate the fibers of the primary backing to aid in fiber lock. The polyurethane is puddle between two rollers that coat a layer of polyurethane onto the greige. The polyurethane coated greige is then contacted with the secondary backing before complete polymerization to insure sufficient tack to hold the backings together resulting in a durable carpet requiring a relatively low weight of polyurethane monomers.

    摘要: A process for producing a powdered thermoplastic polyurethane urea resin is disclosed, which includes a step of forming a polyurethane urea resin by reacting a polymer polyol (a), an organic polyisocyanate (b), a monofunctional active hydrogen-containing compound (c), and preferably a bifunctional active hydrogen-containing compound (d) in specific proportions to form an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, and subjecting the isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and water (e) to chain extension reaction in a non-aqueous dispersion medium. According to this production process, a powdered thermoplastic polyurethane urea resin having excellent melt formability can be obtained, and it is easy to control a molecular weight of the polyurethane urea resin.
