    摘要: A pigment dispersion includes a color pigment and a polymeric dispersant having at least one pending chromophore group covalently bound to the polymeric backbone of the polymeric dispersant through a linking group. The at least one pending chromophore group has a molecular weight which is smaller than 85% of the molecular weight of the color pigment; the at least one pending chromophore group occurs as a side group on the polymeric backbone and not as a group in the polymeric backbone itself or occurring solely as an end group of the polymeric backbone; the linking group consists of all the atoms between the polymeric backbone and the first atom of the aromatic group by which the pending chromophore group is linked to the polymeric backbone; and the at least one pending chromophore group has a similarity coefficient SIM of at least 0.75.

    摘要: The present invention is a process for producing a linear block copolymer, useful as a dispersant for pigment, wherein the block copolymer comprises acetoacetyl amine functional groups which serve as pigment anchoring groups. The acetoacetyl amine functional groups can be formed by reacting hydroxyl functional groups with an acetoacetate agent and then reacting the resulted acetoacetate functional groups with a primary amine. The linear block copolymer can be an AB, ABC, or ABA block copolymer. The linear block copolymer produced by the present invention can be useful in dispersing and stabilizing a wide range of pigments in solvent based systems, and are particularly useful in providing pigment dispersions that are used in coating compositions for automobiles and trucks, where they provide improved efficiency of pigment use, lower paint viscosity, and reduced emission of volatile organic solvent.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a colorant, a color filter, LCD device, a composition and a method for preparing the same. The colorant covers pigment particles by using the acrylic acid polymer having an acid value greater than 20 mgKOH/g and containing aromatic group so as to greatly improve the stability while improving the dispersion ability of the pigment particles. By the above colorant, the photosensitive resin composition ensures that the developing performance is basically not influenced so that the photosensitive resin composition can meet the need of high transmissivity, high color purity, and high contrast for a color filter. A pattern on the color filter is formed by using the photosensitive resin composition having high dispersion stability and developing performance so as to greatly improve transmissivity, color purity, and contrast. An LCD device uses the color filter with high transmissivity, high color purity, and high contrast so as to greatly improve the display effect of color images.
