摘要: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing 911 or enhanced 911 (“E911”) address update. In various embodiments, in response to a trigger event, a computing system may determine whether E911 address data associated with a customer that is stored in an E911 database requires updating. If so, the computing system may update the E911 database with address data associated with the customer that has been validated or verified (if available). Where no validated or verified address associated with the customer is available, the computing system may send a message to the customer to provide updated 911 or E911 address data; may receive, from a user device associated with the customer via an API over a network(s) operated by the service provider, updated 911 or E911 address data from the customer; and may update the E911 database with the received updated 911 or E911 address data from the customer.

摘要: A portable device including a gesture recognizer module for automatically detecting a specific sequence of gestures is described. The portable device may be used to detect a health, safety, or security related event. The portable device may further include an emergency event module for automatically determining whether the sequence of gestures corresponds to an emergency event. The portable device may further include a proximity detection module for automatically determining whether a mobile device corresponding to a user listed as an emergency contact is in a state of proximity to the portable device. The portable device may further include a notification module for automatically transmitting a message, indicating the emergency event, to the user of the mobile device determined to be in the state of proximity.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for prioritization handling for emergency preparedness communication services (EPCS) operation are disclosed. A method for wireless communication performed by a non-access point (AP) device that comprises a station (STA) includes: forming a link with an AP; receiving information associated with emergency preparedness communication services (EPCS) from the AP; determining whether the STA and the AP support an EPCS operation; based on determining that the STA and the AP support the EPCS operation; determining whether the AP supports prioritization for EPCS devices; when the AP does not support prioritization for EPCS devices, performing the EPCS operation; and when the AP supports prioritization for EPCS devices, performing a prioritized EPCS operation, wherein the prioritized EPCS operation comprises prioritization among EPCS devices.

摘要: The technologies described herein are generally directed to, based on a determination that a user equipment is operating from an airborne aircraft, limiting the use signals with potentially interfering bands in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include receiving, via a communications network, altitude information corresponding to an altitude of a user equipment. Further, the method can include, based on the altitude, generating a signal limiting instruction applicable to limit a signal. The method can further include, communicating the signal limiting instruction to alter the signal associated with the user equipment with respect to a potentially interfering band.
