    摘要: The variable gain amplifier of the present invention includes at least an operation amplifier. By choosing one of output stages, a feedback resistor is selected and the gain of the variable gain amplifier is decided according to the resistance of the selected feedback resistor, as desired. By adjusting the gain of the variable gain amplifier, the received signals can be amplified or attenuated in accordance with design requirement. The variable gain amplifier can include a two-stage architecture, in which a first stage is used for coarse gain adjustment and a second stage is used for fine gain adjustment. The gain of the two-stage variable gain amplifier can be easily adjusted to a desired value.

    摘要: A folded-cascode operational amplifier including a differential input stage (19) and a class AB output stage (20) includes a first slew boost current mirror (13) and a second slew boost current mirror (14) having inputs connected to drains of the input transistors, respectively. Each current mirror amplifies excess tail current steered into it as a result of a large, rapid input signal transition. The amplified excess tail current is used to boost the slew rate of the class AB output stage. in accordance with a first polarity of the difference between the first (Vin+) and second (Vin−) input voltages. The drains of the input transistors are maintained at a voltage less than a transistor threshold voltage above the ground except during slewing operation of the operational amplifier to effectively isolate the current mirrors except during slewing operation.

    摘要: A circuit for a power amplifier is disclosed which amplifies and outputs an audio signal by amplifying an input audio signal using first and second differential circuits, and driving a push-pull output transistor with the outputs from the first and second differential circuits. The circuit includes a signal generating part generating a disconnection timing signal for disconnecting a bias current reducing activation currents of the first and second differential circuits based on a switch control signal, and positive feedback loops of the first and second differential circuits. A switch part is disposed in each of the positive feedback loops of the first and second differential circuits, disconnecting the positive feedback loops in response to the disconnection timing signal. A bias part stops the operation of the first and second differential circuits by reducing the activation currents of the first and second differential circuits by reduction of the bias currents.

The amplifier can also include a push-pull output stage having a servo circuit configured to adjust the control bias signal for one of a pair of vacuum tubes included in the stage until the plate currents in the pair of tubes are substantially equal.
