摘要: An intermittent urinary catheter product includes a generally rectangular package (100) having opposed front (104) and rear (106) panels sealed together to define an interior cavity (103). At least one of an inner surface (105) of the front panel (104) and an inner surface (107) of the rear panel (106) includes a reclosable member (116) associated therewith. The front and rear panels are tearable adjacent to the reclosable member and in a direction parallel to the reclosable member so that the tear forms an opening (120) in communication with the interior cavity. A hydrophilic urinary catheter (123) and hydration fluid (140) may be stored in the package. After a user uses the catheter, the user may replace the catheter in the cavity and close the reclosable member, resealing the package.

A third constituent may be injected from the syringe into the first reservoir via the port of the cap to form a precursor. Actuating the plunger assembly relative to the barrel portion may cause the precursor and the second constituent to be delivered into the needle hub.

摘要: A novel single use auto-injector for delivering a fixed amount of medicament is described. The auto-injector may include a sealed housing rotatably held in a cover. Once the auto-injector is positioned at the injection location, the user can transition the housing from a locked to an armed position. The user can then compress the sealed housing into the cover, triggering activation mechanisms that initiate the injection. A first activation mechanism engages an interlock to prevent reuse of the auto-injector. A second activation mechanism straightens and extends a curved needle to a set the exposed needle length. A third activation mechanism pierces a sealed reservoir allowing the medicament to be forced through the injection needle. Following the injection, the auto-injector expands and interlocks, retracting the needle into the auto-injector and preventing reuse.

摘要: A system for controlled delivery of medical fluids to a patient includes an inlet conduit attached to a source of a medical fluid and an outlet conduit connected to the patient. The inlet and outlet conduits are interconnected by a multiple stage control valve assembly and a pair of syringes. The control valve assembly is alternated between a first state wherein the inlet conduit communicates with a first syringe for transmitting fluid from the source to the first syringe, a second state wherein the first syringe communicates with a second syringe and is isolated from the inlet conduit and the outlet for transmitting fluid from the first syringe to the second syringe, and a third state wherein the second syringe communicates with the outlet and is isolated from the inlet and the first syringe for transmitting fluid from the second syringe to the patient through the outlet.
