摘要: In an internal combustion engine with exhaust gas turbochargers which operate in parallel and of which at least one can be switched on and off by a charge air duct blocking arrangement including a charge air duct blocking element, the charge air duct blocking arrangement is adapted to provide for a certain movement characteristic of the charge air duct blocking element resulting in a slower movement of the charge air duct blocking element resulting in a longer duration for the air duct blocking element to reach its open position and a faster movement during closing resulting in a rapid closing of the charge air duct blocking element.

摘要: A method for improving the cold start capacity of an internal combustion engine which is cooled with water that is pre-heated for the cold start. The pre-heated hot water is conducted through flow paths in a region of the crankcase ventilating device and/or in a water/air heat exchanger of the crankcase ventilating device. An internal combustion engine with at least one cooling water circuit, at least one cooling water pump which is arranged in the cooling water circuit, and at least one crankcase ventilating device. The crankcase ventilating device is at least temporarily integrated into the cooling water circuit of the internal combustion engine, and the cooling water circuit has a pre-heating assembly for pre-heating the cooling water when the internal combustion engine is cold started.

摘要: An emission signature modification device for modifying an acoustic signature of an exhaust gas stream, including an exhaust gas guiding device that guides the exhaust gas stream in the flow direction thereof from an inlet area to an outlet area. An active acoustic emission modification device modifies the acoustic emission of the exhaust gas stream in predetermined operating states. If an actuator system of the active acoustic emission modification device is designed such that in a circumferential direction, the actuator system is surrounded by more than 30% of the guided exhaust gas stream, the actuating system can be protected against harmful influences from the environment by way of the exhaust gas guiding device on the one hand, and on the other hand, the required space signifier can be reduced as compared to a lateral, external arrangement of the actuating system.
