Abstract:
A recording medium for storing virtual deletion information, and recording and/or reproducing method and apparatus therefor are provided. The recording medium includes a first region having a plurality of pictures, and a second region having first virtual deletion information for the still pictures, and still picture group information for separating the still pictures in the first region into a predetermined maximum number of groups in order to manage the still pictures at a group level, wherein the first virtual deletion information is within the still picture group information, and if the first virtual deletion information is set to a virtual delete state, the corresponding still picture is not to be reproduced. Accordingly, file extent information can be prevented from excessively increasing by maximally preventing a recording area from being scattered, when some of a data file are deleted by a user's request.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for reproducing multi-angle data in a seamless manner, even during a change of angle, and an information storage medium on which the multi-angle data is recorded. AV data divided into clips, which are recording units, is recorded on the information storage medium. Additional information regarding jump points is recorded on a space of the information storage medium other than where the clips are recorded. The apparatus for reproducing the multi-angle data includes a reading unit which reads data from the information storage medium, and a reproducing unit which reproduces the data read by the reading unit by searching for and reproducing clips corresponding to the read data when the read data is multi-angle data, and, if there is an angle change command, reproducing clips for a new angle from a jump point of the clip for the new angle.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for recording and reproducing audio and video data in real time on a rewritable optical disk, and a disk recording medium allowing a user to access recorded data at predetermined intervals. The disk recording medium includes cells having part of predetermined data and set as reproduction and recording units, and information on a position from the start of the cells to a specific position. The method includes forming a cell of part of the recorded audio and video data, forming a program of the one or more cells, forming a part of title (PTT) of a specific portion of the recorded audio and video data, and then forming the information on the cell, the program, and the PTT on the disk.
Abstract:
A recording medium for storing information for still pictures, and a recording and/or reproducing method and apparatus therefor. A writeable and rewriteable recording medium stores data for a plurality of still pictures and audio data added thereto in one file or a space having a logically one-dimensional order, rather than in each file, and still picture group information for separating the still picture data into within a predetermined maximum number of groups in order to manage the still pictures at a group level is then stored on the recording medium. Thus, large-capacity still picture data and audio data added thereto can be recorded and/or reproduced using a minimum amount of information. The still picture group information includes general information for still picture groups, and information for still pictures in each still picture group. The general information for each still picture group includes the start position of a first still picture in each still picture group (the start position of each still picture group). The information for still pictures in each still picture group includes the sizes of video data and audio data for each still picture. Therefore, effective management of information is allowed.

Abstract:
An apparatus for constructing frames for low-speed reproduction of a moving picture recorded in an interlaced scanning mode. A user interface receives a user setting speed for the low-speed reproduction. A field selector generates a field select mode signal for constructing second moving picture frames (for slow-speed playback) from first moving picture frames (for normal-speed playback) in response to the input user setting speed. A frame construction unit, in response to the field select mode signal, repeatedly selects moving picture data of a first field and a second field contained in each of the first moving picture frames, to construct the second moving picture frames corresponding to the first moving picture frames, wherein the number of times each frame is selected is determined by the user setting speed. The apparatus can construct frames for low-speed reproduction from frames for normal-speed reproduction while reproducing a natural image without vibration or mixing-up the time order of the moving picture.

Abstract:
A semiconductor device includes a via structure having a top surface with a planar portion and a protrusion portion that is surrounded by the planar portion, and includes a conductive structure including a plurality of conductive lines contacting at least a part of the top surface of the via structure.
Abstract:
An information storage medium on which a plurality of titles are recorded, and a reproducing apparatus and method thereof. The information storage medium includes a plurality of titles which are reproduced as motion pictures and a plurality of units of attribute information that correspond to the titles and indicate whether a user can control a title to be reproduced. Therefore, efficient navigation can be ensured and the titles can be reproduced as a manufacturer of the information storage medium has planned.
