A vertical memory device includes a substrate, a first cell block and a second cell block. The substrate includes a central region and a peripheral region. At least one first cell block is on the central region. The first cell block includes a first channel and first gate lines. At least one second cell block is on the peripheral region. The second cell block includes a second channel and second gate lines. The second cell block has a width greater than a width of the first cell block. The first and second channel extend in a first direction vertical to a top surface of the substrate. The first gate lines surround the first channel and the first gate lines are spaced apart from each other in the first direction. The second gate lines surround the second channel and are spaced apart from each other in the first direction.

A method of forming a multi-layer graphene includes forming a stack of a graphitizing metal catalyst layer and graphene by repeatedly performing a cycle of first forming the graphitizing metal catalyst layer on a substrate, and then forming the graphene on the graphitizing metal catalyst layer, and removing the graphitizing metal catalyst layer.

A light emitting display is configured to reduce or prevent motion blur by shortening a time that a black frame is displayed between image frames. One embodiment includes display region, a data driver, a scan driver, and a controller. The display region displays frames of images according to a data signal and a scan signal. The data driver transmits data for displaying first frames and second (black) frames between the first frames. The scan driver includes first and second scan driving circuits for transmitting scan signals, and a switch unit for selectively coupling the first and second scan driving circuits. The scan driver transmits scan signals sequentially during the first frames and transmits scan signals to at least two of the scan lines concurrently by driving the first and second scan driving circuits in parallel during the second frames. The controller transmits a driving control signal to control the switch.

A carbonization catalyst for forming graphene may be exfoliated from a graphene sheet by etching. A binder layer may be formed on the graphene sheet on which a carbonization catalyst is formed, to support and fix all or part of the graphene sheet. Further, the graphene sheet from which the carbonization catalyst is exfoliated may be transferred to a device. When exfoliating the carbonization catalyst from the graphene sheet, an acid may be used together with a wetting agent.

Provided are a method of preparing a graphene shell and a graphene shell prepared using the method. A first heat treatment is performed on a mixture of an organic solvent and a graphitization catalyst so as to carburize the graphitization catalyst with carbon decomposed from the organic solvent. The graphitization catalyst is in the form of particles. A second heat treatment process is performed on the carburized graphitization catalyst in an inert or reductive gas atmosphere to thereby form graphene shells on surfaces of the carburized graphitization catalyst.
