A method includes receiving the electronic image, performing a composition analysis on the electronic image, the composition analysis includes partitioning the electronic image into a plurality of segments or a plurality of parts, constructing an attributed composition graph having a plurality of nodes, where each node corresponds to a segment or a part and where each node includes one or more attributes, modeling the visual significance of the electronic image based on the attributed composition graph using a statistical modeling process or a computational modeling process to obtain a plurality of values, and constructing a composition significance map having a significance score for each segment or each part according to the values obtained from the statistical modeling process or the computational modeling process.

The members can be statically or pivotally connected at the junctions via arms extending from cross-beams of the members. The junctions can be configured to provide a biasing force. Methods of using the device may include collapsing the device and inserting it through an incision, allowing the biasing force to cause continuous traction and counter-traction adjacent to a leading dissection edge so that retraction of the skin from the tissue can be facilitated during a surgical procedure.

摘要: Inhibitors of the tmRNA pathway have antibacterial activity with broad species specificity, including B. anthracis and other pathogens of military and civilian interest. Identified cyclic or linear peptides are further selected by in vivo selection methods, kill bacterial pathogens when added exogenously, and/or eliminate plasmids carrying antibiotic resistance or virulence genes. The molecular target of each cyclic peptide is in the tmRNA pathway and the tmRNA pathway is inhibited in vitro and in vive by the addition of the peptides.

摘要: Embodiments of the systems can be configured to receive electromagnetic emissions of a substrate (e.g., a build material of a part being made via additive manufacturing) by a detector (e.g., a multi-spectral sensor) and generate a ratio of the electromagnetic emissions to perform spectral analysis with a reduced dependence on location and orientation of a surface of the substrate relative to the multi-spectral sensor. The additive manufacturing process can involve use of a laser to generate a laser beam for fusion of the build material into the part. The system can be configured to set the multi-spectral sensor off-axis with respect to the laser (e.g., an optical path of the multi-spectral sensor is at an angle that is different than the angle of incidence of the laser beam). This can allow the multi-spectral sensor to collect spectral data simultaneously as the laser is used to build the part.

摘要: Methods of treating the effects of disruption of normal blood flow in the CNS in an individual subject in need thereof are provided according to aspects of the present invention which include administering a therapeutically effective dose of exogenous NeuroD1 to an area where normal blood flow has been disrupted. Compositions are provided including 1) a recombinant adeno-associated adenovirus expression vector comprising a glial cell specific promoter operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding a site-specific recombinase and 2) a recombinant adeno-associated adenovirus expression vector comprising a ubiquitous promoter operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding NeuroD1, wherein the nucleic acid encoding NeuroD1 is inverted and flanked by two sets of site-specific recombinase recognition sites such that action of the recombinase irreversibly inverts the nucleic acid encoding NeuroD1 such that NeuroD1 is expressed in a mammalian cell.
