Each sliding element has a U-shape, the opposite legs thereof being disposed between the radially and axially oriented side faces of the associated teeth facing each other, wherein a web connecting the legs extends radially.

A magnetically permeable, prefabricated pole wheel is placed in a mold for forming the wheel hub, and the mold is filled with a melt composed of a magnetically impermeable material in the solidified state. The melt fills the apertures formed between adjacent teeth of the pole wheel, while a shape of the pole wheel is substantially maintained.

The disc brake is equipped with an application device which has two pressure plungers. By way of a force-absorbing connection between the pressure plungers and the facing surface of the brake pad carrier plate, a bridge is relieved of bending stresses. The end faces of the pressure plungers and at least the contact faces of the facing brake pad carrier plate are provided with profilings, which engage into one another in a form-fitting manner, such that at least in the event of full-load braking, each brake pad is moved in the peripheral direction.
