The invention relates to the use of carboxylic acid-based polyoxyalkylenes as low-emissions shrinkage reducers in mineral binders, to methods of reducing shrinkage and to corresponding compositions.
Abstract:
The reaction tube for preparing hydrogen cyanide comprises a cylindrical tube composed of ceramic, a catalyst comprising platinum applied to the inner wall of the tube and also at least one insert composed of ceramic, having three or four fins pointing from the tube axis to the inner wall of the tube, which is inserted into the cylindrical tube, wherein the fins divide the tube interior space into substantially straight channels with substantially identical circle segment cross sections and wherein the mean gap between the ends of the fins and the inner wall of the tube is in the range of 0.1 to 3 mm. In the method for preparing hydrogen cyanide, ammonia and at least one aliphatic hydrocarbon having 1 to 4 carbon atoms are reacted in the reaction tube at 1000 to 1400° C.

Substituted 5-(cyclohex-2-en-1-yl)-penta-2,4-dienes and 5-(cyclohex-2-en-1-yl)-pent-2-en-4-ynes as active agents against abiotic stress in plantsThe invention relates to substituted 5-(cyclohex-2-en-1-yl)penta-2,4-dienes and 5-(cyclohex-2-en-1-yl)pent-2-en-4-ynes of the formula (I) and their salts where the radicals R1, R2, R3, R4, [X—Y] and Q are each as defined in the description, to processes for preparation thereof and to the use thereof for enhancing stress tolerance in plants with respect to abiotic stress, and/or for increasing plant yield.
Abstract:
One embodiment involves communicatively connecting a master node and a plurality of slave nodes in a cluster without shared storage where each node has a separate repository. Each node in the cluster without shared storage can be configured to exclusively update its repository. The method may include receiving a lock request from a first slave node in the cluster without shared storage. The lock request may be associated with an update request received by the first slave node. The lock request can indicate that the first slave node requires exclusive write access to a data item in the repository of the first slave node. The method includes sending a response to the first slave node granting the lock request based at least in part on data in the repository of the master node. The response may authorize the first slave node to append data to the data item in the repository of the first slave node.
Abstract:
The invention relates to substituted 5-(bicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-en-2-yl)penta-2,4-dienes and 5-(bicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-en-2-yl)pent-2-ene-4-ines of the formula (I) and salts thereof, where the radicals R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, [X—Y] and Q are each as defined in the description, to processes for preparation thereof and to the use thereof for enhancing stress tolerance in plants with respect to abiotic stress, and/or for increasing plant yield.
Abstract:
A device for communicating with other devices to allow them to access applications, comprises: at least a first application; authentication means for authenticating a communicating device; and access control means accessible by a communicating device requesting access to the first application without the communicating device having been authenticated by the authentication means. The device is further arranged to arbitrate whether access of the communicating device to the first application is granted or refused wherein if the arbitration requires an authentication of the communicating device, the access control means instructs the authentication means to authenticate the communicating device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a public address system with a control center to which loudspeakers are connected via a two-wire loop system that is routed via isolator modules. A fault can be located on the loop system if the control center measures the impedance of the loop system successively from isolator module to isolator module and the impedance of the entire loop system, inputs the measured values as target values into an impedance table, periodically measures the impedance of the entire loop system during operation and compares said impedance with the corresponding target value from the impedance table, generates a fault message upon determining a deviation, and ascertains the fault location by comparing the measured value with the individual target values in the impedance table and displays said fault location.
Abstract:
At least one embodiment of the invention relates to a tripping apparatus, particularly for circuit breakers, which includes at least one controllable tripping magnet having an armature that is operatively connected to a downstream tripping gear, which engages in a tripping mechanism that acts on the circuit breaker and is coupled to a preloaded spring serving as a force amplifier. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, the tripping mechanism includes a camshaft having a plurality of cam lobes, wherein at least one actuating device is associated with each cam lobe having an offset rotational angle, and wherein, when tripped, at least two actuating processes associated with the respective actuating means take place consecutively, so that the full spring force is transmitted by way of the camshaft to at least one of said actuating means so as to perform the relevant actuating process.
