    摘要: A nut for turning onto a threaded stud and having a smooth bore extending from an inwardly-tapering conical lead-in area, the nut being characterized in that in the lead-in area a stripping zone is formed by a plurality of parallel tubular cavities of smaller diameter than the bore of the nut, in that the cavities are spaced apart and arranged symmetrically about the axis of the bore of the nut, in that the axis of each tubular cavity is spaced from the axis of the bore of the nut by a distance smaller than the sum of the radii of the tubular cavity and of the bore and greater than the radius of the bore, in that the intersections of the walls of each tubular cavity with the wall of the bore of the nut form cutting edges, and in that the respectively adjacent tubular cavities are linked to one another via cavities provided therebetween so that a coating stripped from the threaded stud as the nut is turned onto the stud can be accommodated in this cavity.Preferably, the nut has three tubular cavities which are linked together by three linking cavities.

    摘要: A peroxide-testing method using a reagent based on Ti(IV) compounds which contains, in a lower aliphatic alcohol having 1-5 C atoms, a compound TiX.sub.4 in which X is Cl or OR with R being an alkyl group having 1-5 C atoms, and where appropriate, up to 35% by weight of an acid which has a pK.sub.a value not exceeding 5. The method is useful for the determination of peroxides in both aqueous and organic solutions since the reagent is miscible with the sample solution to produce a homogeneous phase.

    摘要: A spindle press comprises a housing with a circular cylindrical upper part and a lower part. A press spindle, which is drivable in a rotating manner via a drive pipe by a drive arrangement, is supported in an upper bearing and a lower bearing of the housing so as to be rotatable. A spindle body of the press spindle carries worm wings on the outside and compressor blades farther above, which all extend in the vicinity of a screen casing of the upper part. The screen casing is enclosed at a distance by a spray casing and provided with holes for pressed out fluid only from the compressor blades down. The spindle body also comprises perforations for the pressed out fluid only from the compressor blades down. Above the compressor blades a helically constructed front wall is welded in between an annular wall and the screen casing which is unperforated at that point. On the lower side of the front wall, wet pulp arrives tangentially through a filling opponent of the upper part.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of improving reagent elution from a reagent strip comprising a handle on one end which is affixed an absorbent carrier impregnated with a reagent. The absorbent carrier is pressed against the handle by a thin mesh which is stuck or sealed on to the handle on opposite sides of the carrier.Another mesh is between the carrier and the handle. When the carrier is immersed in a liquid, the meshes improve the elution of the reagent into the liquid.
