摘要: A new surface finishing process for stainless steel where beautiful, bright and milky white coloured surface is obtainable even for such grades as high carbon containing 13 chromium steel and high sulfur containing free cutting stainless steel is disclosed. After removing the surface scale, (1) immerse the stainless steel into the 1st treating solution containing nitric acid: 5–40 g/l, hydrofluoric acid: 2–10 g/l and Fe(III) ion: 15–40 g/l for 5–180 sec., then rinse in water, (2) and successesively immerse into the 2nd treating solution containing nitric acid: 120–250 g/l, Fe(III) ion: 15–40 g/l for 30–300 sec., then rinse in water.

摘要: A side airbag apparatus for a vehicle has a gas generator with gas ports, an airbag. With gas injected from the gas ports, the airbag is deployed and inflated between a side portion of a body of the vehicle and a passenger seated on a seat provided in a passenger compartment. The airbag has first and second inflation portion. The first inflation portion is deployed and inflated at a position that corresponds to a shoulder of a passenger having a small physical size. The second inflation portion communicates with the first inflation portion. The second inflation portion is deployed and inflated at a position that corresponds to the abdomen of the passenger having a small physical size. The gas ports are arranged such that gas injected from the gas ports is introduced into the first inflation portion before the second inflation portion. The apparatus further includes a thickness limiting portion located between the first inflation portion and the second inflation portion and a tether. When the airbag is deployed and inflated, the thickness limiting portion limits the thickness of the airbag. The tether connects an upper end of the airbag and the thickness limiting portion to each other.

摘要: An airbag apparatus according to the present invention includes a gas generator and an airbag. The airbag includes a panel sheet and a recess defined inwardly with respect to the airbag. The airbag is formed in a bag-like shape by folding the panel sheet in two and sewing the circumference of the panel sheet. The panel sheet has a first folding line and an inward folding portion including a line extending from the first folding line and arranged in a circumferential portion of the panel sheet. The inward folding portion includes a second folding line by which the inward folding portion is defined, a third folding line extending along the line extending from the first folding line, and an insertion opening through which the gas generator is inserted into the airbag. The recess is provided by folding the inward folding portion along the second folding line inwardly with respect to the airbag, re-folding the airbag in two along the third folding line, and sewing the circumference of the inward folding portion together with the circumference of the panel sheet.

摘要: A battery voltage is increased in a converter and is input to an inverter that supplies a motor with a motor drive current. A control unit detects input and output voltages of the converter from outputs of voltage sensors and controls the switching in the converter in accordance with the detected input and output voltages. When one of the sensors fails, the control unit estimates the voltage that would have otherwise been detected by the failed voltage sensor based on the switching state in the converter and the voltage detected by the other voltage sensor.

摘要: In an image forming apparatus having a developing unit for developing an image using toner, a toner box for withholding the toner, and a toner transportation section for transporting the toner withheld in the toner box to the developing unit, the toner transportation section includes a transportation screw portion having formed a spiral blade section on its shaft, a pipe section for controlling a toner transportation route by covering the transportation screw portion of the toner transportation section, and a toner flow suppressing section for suppressing flow of the toner from a space between the transportation screw and pipe section. Consequently, a toner transportation opening formed near the transportation section can be closed, and therefore, the flowing of toner into the developing unit can be controlled or reduced by a simple and inexpensive arrangement.

摘要: A color filter capable of being uniformly formed without any deformation of a light-permeable anode conductor and prevented from being adversely affected by etching for formation of the anode conductor. A light-permeable anode substrate free of any deformation is uniformly formed thereon with anode conductors, on which color filters are formed of a mixture of a composite oxide pigment and a conductive material so as to cover the anode conductors. The color filters each are formed by arranging a color filter material in a predetermined pattern, followed by calcination. Then, phosphor layers are deposited on the color filters. The phosphor layers are electrically connected through the conductive material of the color filters to the anode conductors. A thickness of the color filters and a particle diameter of the conductive material are determined to be substantially the same, so that the color filters exhibit conductivity only in a direction of thickness. Thus, contact between the color filters adjacent to each other does not cause electrical connection therebetween.

摘要: A fluorescent display device including a laterally elongated matrix-like display section and a plurality of control electrodes arranged in juxtaposition to each other while a longitudinal direction thereof is defined in a short side direction of the display section is disclosed which is capable of increasing a duty ratio when scanning the control electrodes. A plurality of picture cells are arranged longitudinally and laterally at equal intervals, resulting in forming the matrix-like display section. A plurality of sets of picture cells in an oblique direction are connected together. The control electrodes are connected together at every predetermined interval. Thus, when the control electrodes are scanned and the anode conductors are fed with a display signal, the fluorescent display device carries out graphic display while selecting desired picture cells at a high duty ratio.

摘要: A throttle actuator comprising: a body which forms an intake passage; a throttle valve shaft; a throttle valve which is connected to the throttle valve shaft and which adjusts the opening of the intake passage; and a motor which applies torque to the throttle valve shaft. The throttle valve is provided with: a valve shaft lever; an accelerator lever which is operated by means of the accelerator pedal; a floating lever which is positioned between the valve shaft lever and the accelerator lever and which transmits torque to the valve shaft lever in such a direction that the throttle valve opens; a valve returning spring which applies torque to the throttle valve shaft in such a direction that the throttle valve closes; a coupler spring which pulls the accelerator lever and the floating lever toward each other; and an accelerator lever returning spring which applies torque to the accelerator lever in such a direction that the throttle valve closes. A difference between the amount of operation caused by the action of the accelerator pedal and the amount of operation caused by the motor is offset by the relationships between the set positions of floating lever and the coupler spring and between the set positions of the floating lever and the valve shaft lever.

摘要: A sliding member is provided which comprises a base body made of a firmly entangled and collapsed metal fine wire, with the voids formed between the metal fine wires constituting the metal mesh being filled compactly with a heat resistant material, the sliding surface of the base body being formed into a smooth surface with either a lubricant that fills a number of small holes formed in the heat resistant material as well as covering the surface thereof or the lubricant and the metal fine wires being exposed. A manufacturing method of the same is also disclosed which basically comprises the steps of preparing a metal mesh as a reinforcing material, preparing a sheet-like heat resistant material with a plurality of small holes being formed through the thickness, applying a lubricant on the sheet-like heat resistant material in a given thickness so as to simultaneously fill the small holes, putting the sheet-like heat resistant material on the metal mesh to provide a laminate in which the lubricant is directed towards the sliding surface to be formed, convoluting the laminate about a cylindrical mandrel so as to represent a cylindrical preform and putting the preform in a metal die to axially compress it to provide the final product.
