摘要: A promotional closure for use with an associated container includes a plastic closure cap having an inwardly recessed, circular top wall portion defining a compartment and a depending annular skirt portion depending from the top wall portion. A circumferential lip formed in the closure cap generally at about a periphery of the compartment, defines a circumferential channel-like recess adjacent to the compartment. The closure further includes a removable, circular cover member adapted to cover the compartment by insertion into the circumferential recess. The cover has a pair of circumferentially opposed tab-like, releasable engaging members which are adapted to be received in the circumferential recess to retain the cover in place in the cap over the compartment. The engaging members are further adapted to release from the recess for removal of the cover member from the top wall portion when pressure is applied to the cap on the skirt portion adjacent to where the engaging members are positioned in the recess to thereby permit access to the compartment. Alternately, the cover includes a depending skirtlike seal support member which exerts an outward force on the top wall portion to urge the top wall portion into sealing engagement with an inside surface at the mouth of the container.

摘要: Apparatus for converting a frequency division multiplex (fdm) signal to a time domain multiplex (tdm) signal in which a voltage control oscillator whose output is a staircase of reference frequencies is mixed by a mixer with a received fdm signal. Each received frequency is output in turn at a common intermediate frequency from a bandpass filter thereby forming a tdm signal after passing through a demodulator and low pass filter. The conversion may take place in the optical domain by mixing optical reference frequencies with an optical fdm signal in, for example, a coherent heterodyne optical receiver.

摘要: A translator (10) begins with a specification for a system, wherein the specification is described in terms of some desired behavior. That behavior is mapped into a hardware description language representation of the behavior, so that the behavior may be simulated. Other synthesis steps may also be derived therefrom. The translator converts abstract descriptions of system or component behavior into analog hardware description language models which can be later used to simulate the behavior of the system by an appropriate simulator.

摘要: A showerhead is either wall mounted or provided with a handle connected through a flexible hose to an incoming water outlet. The showerhead has a turbine which may cause the delivery of pulses of circumferentially distributed groups of pulses of water so as to provide either fast or slow massage action. Also included is a pause mode in which flow is reduced without complete shutoff and a center spray mode which provides a concentrated spray pattern. Other modes possible are a needle spray, a combination pulse and needle spray, a combination needle spray with a body spray, just a body spray, and an oval shape spray pattern. Various water paths are defined from a flow selector through the unit to different ones of front-facing orifices as defined for the different modes. Selection is achieved by a combination of a flow director and a control plate. User access for mode selection is by way of an external circumferential control ring operatively coupled to the control plate through a control arm. A component is removable by the user to enable easy cleaning of an array of the outlet orifices.

摘要: The encased product of the present invention comprises an elongated flexible casing cylindrically shaped substantially along its length and having opposite end closures. A product material fills the cavity formed by the flexible casing and maintains the casing in a cylindrical shape. The cylindrical casing is formed from an elongated strip of flexible material having opposite side edges, the strip being formed into a finished tubular casing with the side edges of the strip within each casing frictionally overlapping and engaging the side edges thereof. The product is formed by continuously applying an elongated flexible ribbon to the outer cylindrical surface of a stuffing tube at a canted angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tube and rotating the flexible ribbon at the point where it is applied to the stuffing tube so that it will wrap around the tube in a plurality of helical revolutions to form a cylindrical casing on the tube. The adjacent edges of the helical revolutions of the ribbon are frictionally overlapped to one another so as to form a cylindrical casing and product is forced through the tube from the rearward end to the discharge end and into the cylindrical casing. The stuffing tube may be a rotating stuffing tube or it may be a stationary stuffing tube. A ribbon feed device is provided for feeding a continuous strip of ribbon to the stuffing tube. Moisture is applied to the ribbon to enhance the cohesiveness of the overlapped side edges thereof.
