    摘要: A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveying roller that conveys a sheet, a processing tray on which the sheet from the conveying roller is loaded, a reference stopper provided at one end of the processing tray, a return paddle having an elastic piece for transferring the sheet from the conveying roller to the reference member, and a roller arm that moves the return paddle in the sheet thickness direction at a predetermined moving rate according to the number of sheets loaded on the processing tray. The moving rate of the roller arm is reduced as the number of sheets loaded on the processing tray is increased. With this configuration, aligning property of even a wavy sheet can be suppressed from being deteriorated at sheet loading.

    摘要: In a file server for suppressing power consumption of a storage apparatus, when a file sharing program receives a file access from a client, the program references a mapping table. The program addresses the access to the target file in the volume of a RAID group where the target file is stored. A coupling-request reception program memorizes a coupling time for each user into a coupling history table. A grouping program applies a grouping to users whose coupling time-zones are similar. A data transfer program transfers, into the same RAID group, data of the files associated with the grouped users, thereby collecting the data into the same RAID group. Thus, the time-zone when no access is made to the RAID group (i.e., non-coupling time-zone) can be made longer. Accordingly, a spin-up/down request program makes a spin-down request to the RAID group in the non-coupling time-zone.

    摘要: The client computer which transmits an access request specifying an object existing in the first file system and the second computer which accesses the second file system are connected to the first computer which accesses the first file system. The second file system includes a shared directory. The controller mounts the shared directory to the first file system. The controller creates a link which comprises a name determined in accordance with a certain naming regulation independent of the type of the computer and corresponds to the specific object in the first file system.
