    摘要: A fuel level detector for an automobile fuel tank comprises a strut vertically provided within a fuel tank, a float slidably fitted around the strut and having a permanent magnet therein, a plurality of magnetic induction type reed switches slantedly disposed along the strut with a adequate distance between the adjacent reed switches, the length of which distance being defined such that the permanent magnet of the float always actuates two adjacent reed switches simultaneously, a plurality of resistances respectively connected to the plurality of reed switches for changing current value according to the reed switches which are actuated, a residual quantity warning means having an element of a luminous body which is connected between a ground and a predetermined reed switch among the plurality of reed switches, and a distance retention mechanism for keeping constant a distance between the predetermined reed switch and the bottom surface of the fuel tank and having a guide mounted to a base member for vertically guiding the strut and a spring mounted between the base member and the strut for urging the strut towards the bottom surface of the fuel tank.

    摘要: A pattern forming method for semiconductor devices in which a film layer of a compound containing silicon and nitrogen is formed between a substrate and a resist layer with a desired pattern readily formed utilizing a lift-off technique. A first film layer of a compound such as Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 is formed on a semiconductor substrate with a resist film layer formed in a desired pattern upon the first film layer. The first film layer is etched using the resist film layer as a mask. A second film layer is then formed on the substrate after which the first film layer is removed with an etchant which does not attack the second film layer.

The communication device may determine whether a communication via a second type of interface between the communication device and the terminal device is performable, establish a second communication link via the first type of interface between the communication device and the terminal device, and perform a two-way communication of second information with the terminal device by using the second communication link in a case where it is determined that the communication via the second type of interface is performable. The communication device may not perform the two-way communication of the second information with the terminal device in a case where it is determined that the communication is not performable.
