摘要: The present invention provides a current-mode control step-up converter capable of reducing the minimum duty ratio to a sufficiently small value and facilitating the setting of the maximum duty ratio. The step-up converter comprises a current detector 9 for generating a current detection signal Vc corresponding to the current of a rectifier 4; an error amplifier 8 for generating an error signal Ve corresponding to an output DC voltage Vo; and a control circuit 10 for turning ON/OFF the main switch 3 on the basis of the current detection signal Vc and the error signal Ve. The control circuit 10 comprises a comparator 11 and a timer circuit 12. With this configuration, the ON time of the main switch 3 is set at a predetermined value, and the valley value of an inductor current changing in a triangular waveform is controlled. Hence, the OFF time of the main switch is adjusted to stabilize the output. Since the ON time of the main switch 3 can be set as desired, the minimum duty ratio can be reduced to zero or a sufficiently small value.

摘要: A step-up power supply device includes: a step-up converter; a startup circuit which controls the on/off operation of a switch element of the step-up converter when an output voltage of the device is smaller than a reference voltage; and a control circuit which operates in substitution for the startup circuit when the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage to control the on/off operation of the switch element such that the output voltage reaches a target value. The startup circuit includes an oscillation circuit for generating a pulse signal which has a predetermined on/off ratio, a current comparison circuit for comparing a current of the switch element with a predetermined restriction value, and a drive circuit for generating a drive signal based on which the switch element is turned on/off, the drive signal being generated from the pulse signal to turn on the switch element, and the drive signal being generated from the output of the current comparison circuit or the pulse signal to turn off the switch element.

摘要: A spliced ink-jet head including head chips, each of which is capable of discharging inks of two or more colors, and which are spliced in a staggered manner which restrains the occurrence of splice streaks, white streaks caused by deflection at ends or uneven colors attributable to different landing orders of ink droplets in spliced portions of different colors when one-pass recording is carried out. The head chips is arranged such that, in a relationship between two adjoining head chips, at least one discharge port of one head chip and one discharge port of the other head chip for the same color tone ink in end portions overlap on a line in a recording material feeding direction, while discharge ports for different color tone inks do not overlap.

摘要: An image data signal value conversion is performed such that the volume of ink applied to image areas on a print medium to be printed by the overlapping portions of the printing element substrates is smaller than that applied to image areas on the print medium to be printed by other than the overlapping portions. Alternatively, the image data signal value conversion is performed such that the volume of ink applied to overlapping areas on the print medium to be printed by two consecutive printing main scans is smaller than that applied to other than the overlapping areas. For this reason, even when forming photographic images by using an elongate “joining head”, high-quality images with no density unevenness between overlapping areas and other areas on a print medium can be produced. Also in a serial type printing apparatus, uniform images with no seam stripes can be produced.

摘要: Printed pages of a stably high image quality can be produced when performing printing using a recording apparatus having an elongate joint head. The recording apparatus determines whether an end of an image to be printed is included in a joint of overlapping chips. If the end of the image is included in the joint, the recording apparatus sets groups of nozzles to be used so as to use, of nozzles corresponding to the chip joint (overlapping nozzles), continuously all nozzles included in the group of nozzles of a chip, of which nozzles other than the overlapping nozzles are used.

摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus and an ink jet printing method are provided which use a printing head having a plurality of ejection opening arrays and enable high quality printing without causing uneven density in a conveying direction. For this purpose, by providing a plurality of ejection opening arrays to chips constituting the printing head and changing data assigning ratio of each ejection opening array, deviation in impact positions depending on the distance between the ejection opening arrays becomes inconspicuous.
