    摘要: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a casing (1) defining a receiving cavity (10), a heat exchanger (2) and a fan (3) disposed in the receiving cavity (10) respectively, and a panel (4) disposed on a bottom of the casing (1). The panel (4) is movable between a close position in which both an air inlet (11) and an air outlet (12) of the receiving cavity (10) are closed and an open position in which both the air inlet (11) and the air outlet (12) are open. In the open position, the panel (4) at least partially separates the air entering via the air inlet (11) from the air exiting via the air outlet (12).

    摘要: Systems and methods that facilitate analysis of superficial tissue based at least in part on a depth-selective fiber optic probe are discussed herein. The depth-selective fiber optic probe can include an illumination fiber for providing light to the superficial tissue, a collection fiber for collected reflected light, a ball lens that couples the fibers, and a protective overtube that houses the ball lens and fibers. The distances between the ball lens and fibers and between the fibers can be optimized based on several factors, such as by minimizing the illumination spot size, maximizing the overlap between the illumination and collection spots, and based on the angle between the illumination and collection beams.

    摘要: Described is a method for preparation of stable fatty alcohol emulsion, wherein, fatty acid esters are introduced into an antifoaming agent emulsion system, and an anionic surfactant is added in the late stage of emulsification process in order to further improve the stability of the emulsion. The anionic surfactant is absorbed to the surface of fatty alcohol particles to make the fatty alcohol emulsion more stable under the action of ionic mutual repulsion. The prepared fatty alcohol emulsion has favorable foam elimination and suppression performance in the paper making procedure, and is stable during storage.

An encoder section, generates the processed video signal and wherein, when the pattern of interest is detected, a higher quality, such as a higher bit allocation or higher computational processing, is assigned to the region than to portions of the at least one image outside the region.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for adjusting camera device characteristics using a remote imaging server. The camera device may take an initial image before the user takes a picture. The initial image is provided to the imaging server over a network. The imaging server analyzes the initial image and assesses which image parameters may need to be adjusted to capture a higher quality picture. The image parameters may include, but are not limited to, brightness, reflectivity, user vibrations, skin tone, subject movement, light sources, and/or user preferences. The imaging server may provide recommendations or adjustments to the camera device prior to the user taking a picture. The imaging server may also prompt the user to position or orientation of the camera device or a subject prior to taking a picture.

    摘要: A novel phase shifter design for carrier depletion based silicon modulators, based on an experimentally validated model, is described. It is believed that the heretofore neglected effect of incomplete ionization will have a significant impact on ultra-responsive phase shifters. A low VπL product of 0.3 V·cm associated with a low propagation loss of 20 dB/cm is expected to be observed. The phase shifter is based on overlapping implantation steps, where the doses and energies are carefully chosen to utilize counter-doping to produce an S-shaped junction. This junction has a particularly attractive VπL figure of merit, while simultaneously achieving attractively low capacitance and optical loss. This improvement will enable significantly smaller Mach-Zehnder modulators to be constructed that nonetheless would have low drive voltages, with substantial decreases in insertion loss. The described fabrication process is of minimal complexity; in particular, no high-resolution lithographic step is required.
