    摘要: The implant includes two side walls resting against the vertebral end-plates and an intermediate wall joining the supporting walls. The implant can be deformed for insertion between the vertebrae to be treated to restore the attenuated mobility of the vertebrae, and includes mounting elements mounting on the vertebrae. The side walls have a curved shape, whose convexity is oriented towards the outside of the implant; the intermediate wall has a curved shape, whose convexity is oriented towards the outside of the implant such that it does not form any pronounced angles with the supporting side walls. The supporting side walls and the intermediate wall, have a partially oval shape; and the mounting elements are configured such that the implant can be mounted on the vertebrae.

    摘要: A stent graft includes a stent graft material of cylindrical shape and tapered stent springs coupled to the stent graft material. Each stent spring includes a first stent cell and a second stent cell contiguous with the first stent cell. The first stent cell and the second stent cell are coupled. The second stent cell of each tapered stent spring is smaller than the first stent cell thereby defining a tapered shape to the tapered stent springs. The stent graft is placed in a curved segment of a tortuous body lumen and rotationally positioned such that the smallest stent cell of each tapered stent spring is placed at an inside radius of the curved segment.

    摘要: Stent exhibiting a succession of turns around the axis, adjacent turns being connected by connector portions distributed around the circumference of the prosthesis, each of the turns being made up of struts that extend the length of the turn and are interspersed by inflection zones located at the axial ends of each of the turns. When the prosthesis expands radially, gaps open up between adjacent struts of each of the turns, the inflection zones being distributed regularly around the circumference so that the gaps are substantially the same size as each other around the circumference of the turn, characterised in that at least every second turn exhibits a stagger zone within which the said gap between adjacent said struts is of an individual size different from that common to the other gaps of that second turn.

    摘要: A stent (10) is provided with a plurality of stent rings (12) formed of a plurality of interconnected struts (14). Adjacent stent rings (12) are coupled to one another by a plurality of tie bars (16). Within each tie bar (16) there is provided a hinge (36) which facilitates the curving of the stent (10) in its longitudinal direction and minimises the generation of returning force to a non-curved configuration by the stent (10). The hinge could, for example, be formed by heat treating a portion of the tie bar (16). This arrangement is particularly suitable for stents or other medical devices intended to be placed in delicate vessels, such as cerebral vessels.
