摘要: The present invention relates to a conjugated polymer compound for a polymer solar cell donor and a polymer solar cell comprising same, wherein the conjugated polymer compound has a D-A form in which an electron-donating unit (benzodithiophene, BDT) and an electron-withdrawing unit (quinoxline, Qx) are combined, where a cyano (CN) substituent instead of fluorine (F) is introduced into the Qx unit to improve charge generation, charge transfer, and charge recombination characteristics of the polymer solar cell regardless of the type of acceptor contained in a photo-active layer, so that a polymer solar cell with greatly improved photo-conversion efficiency (PCE) can be implemented.

摘要: Poly(aryl alkylene) polymers or poly(aryl-crown ether-alkylene) polymers with pendant cationic groups are provided which have an alkaline-stable cation, such as imidazolium, introduced into a rigid aromatic polymer backbone free of ether bonds. Hydroxide exchange membranes or hydroxide exchange ionomers formed from these polymers exhibit superior chemical stability, hydroxide conductivity, decreased water uptake, good solubility in selected solvents, and improved mechanical properties in an ambient dry state as compared to conventional hydroxide exchange membranes or ionomers. Hydroxide exchange membrane fuel cells and hydroxide exchange membrane electrolyzers comprising the poly(aryl alkylene) polymers or poly(aryl-crown ether-alkylene) polymers with pendant cationic groups exhibit enhanced performance and durability at relatively high temperatures.

摘要: A single liquid phase formulation useful for producing an organic charge transporting film. The formulation contains: (a) a polymer resin having Mw at least 3,000 and having arylmethoxy linkages; (b) an acid catalyst which is an organic Bronsted acid with pKa≤4; a Lewis acid comprising a positive aromatic ion and an anion which is (i) a tetraaryl borate having the formula (I) wherein R represents zero to five non-hydrogen substituents selected from D, F and CF3, (ii) BF4−, (iii) PF6−, (iv) SbF6−, (v) AsF6− or (vi) ClO4−; or a thermal acid generator.

摘要: In an aspect, a method of synthesizing a graft copolymer comprises the steps of: copolymerizing a first macromonomer and a first reactive diluent; wherein said first macromonomer comprises a first backbone precursor directly or indirectly covalently linked to a first polymer side chain group; wherein said reactive diluent is provided in the presence of the first macromonomer at an amount selected so as to result in formation said graft copolymer having a first backbone incorporating said diluent and said first macromonomer in a first polymer block characterized by a preselected first graft density or a preselected first graft distribution of said first macromonomer. In some embodiments of this aspect, said preselected first graft density is any value selected from the range of 0.05 to 0.75. In some methods, the composition and amount of said diluent is selected to provide both a first preselected first graft density and a first preselected first graft distribution.
