摘要: A temporary mechanical and fluidic connection with an anchor wall of a subsea tubular may use a substantially solid, reusable lid for a subsea tubular, which comprises a substantially solid upper surface, a predetermined set of lid anchors (20), a predetermined set of selectively activated valves (30), a seal (40) configured to engage an internal wall (101) of the subsea tubular and create a seal between substantially solid upper surface and the internal wall of the subsea tubular, a connector (50), and a controller (60) by maneuvering the substantially solid, reusable lid proximate an open end (102) of a subsea tubular (100), attaching the substantially solid, reusable lid to the open end of the subsea tubular, using the lid anchors (20) to secure the substantially solid, reusable lid to the open end of the subsea tubular, and operatively engaging the seal (40) to create an occlusive seal between substantially solid upper surface and an internal wall (101) of the subsea tubular.

摘要: A rotary drive machine for the installation of helical pile sections through installation openings in a slab floor inside of a building perimeter. A vertical frame having an upper end and an open lower end is positioned over an installation opening through which it is desired to rotationally install a helical pile section, and the vertical frame anchored to the slab floor. A rotary power means, attached to the helical pile section moves along a vertical movement guide and is driven by a vertical actuator to rotationally and vertically drive the helical section into the ground. A method of use is also disclosed.

摘要: Pile connection methods and devices are disclosed. In some examples, a pile connection device includes a plug including a head, a body extending from a distal end of the head, a first bolt aperture extending through the head and the body and configured to receive a bolt, and pins extending from a distal end of the body. The pile connection device further includes a nut including pin apertures each configured to receive one of the pins, projections extending from a circumference of a proximal end of the nut, and a second bolt aperture that is threaded and configured to align with the first bolt aperture when the pins are received by the pin apertures. The second bolt aperture is configured to receive a threaded distal portion of the bolt to thereby draw the nut toward the plug and retain the pile connection device within apertures in the connected piles.

摘要: A post-tensioning system that is configured for use with concrete wind turbine foundation designs to post-tension the foundations and reduce the amount of reinforcement steel that is needed compared to conventional non-post-tensioned, steel reinforced concrete foundation designs. In the case of an inverted T gravity foundation, the post-tensioning system described herein reduces the amount of reinforcement steel that is required by 30-40 tons.

摘要: An off-shore wind turbine system is assembled using a platform or jack-up vessel, and a first base anchored to the seafloor at a bade assembly off-shore location. A buoyant tower is attached to the first base. A crane provided on the platform or jack-up vessel is used to lift blades and blades, which are then coupled to a turbine held in a nacelle provided at the top of the buoyant tower. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are detached from the first base. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are towed to a wind farm and connected to a second base provided in the wind farm. The buoyant tower, the nacelle, and the blades are further stabilized using mooring lines spanning between the buoyant towers and other bases provided in the wind farm. The first base and/or the second base include anti-rotation features.
