摘要: The present invention relates to waste treatment apparatus and method for combusting and treating wastes such as municipal wastes, refuse-derived fuel (RDF), and plastic wastes. The waste treatment apparatus (101) comprises a gasification furnace (5) for gasifying wastes (a) to produced combustible gas (m), a slagging combustion furnace (8) for combusting the combustible gas and melting solid components contained in the combustible gas to generate exhaust gas (j), a first filter (13a) for filtrating the exhaust gas discharged from the slagging combustion furnace and collecting fly ash (h1) contained in the exhaust gas, an injection device for injecting a neutralizer into the exhaust gas discharged from the first filter, a second filter for filtrating the exhaust gas, and collecting neutralized ash, a recovery device (14) for recovering the neutralized ash, and a conveying device (41a) for conveying fly ash collected by the first filter to the slagging combustion furnace.

摘要: In the process for treating incineration residues from waste incineration plants, the incineration material is incinerated on a furnace grate. The incineration residues produced are quenched in a wet slag remover and conveyed out of the latter. The wet incineration residues which come out of the wet slag remover are firstly divided into two fractions by means of a screening operation, after which the main fraction is washed with water taken from the wet slag remover, and in the process adhering fine pieces are separated off. The washed pieces of the incineration residues are fed for reuse. The washing water together with the ultra fine pieces which have been taken up during the washing operation pass into the wet slag remover. The fine fraction produced during the mechanical separation operation is fed back to the incineration operation.

摘要: The invention relates to a reactor for gasifying and/or melting feed materials, comprising the following: a delivery section (1) by which means the feed materials are introduced; a pyrolysis section (8), which adjoins the preceding section, hereby expanding the cross-section; gas supply means (10) which open into the pyrolysis section (8) approximately at the level of the expanded cross-section and by which means hot gases are supplied to a discharge cone (9); a melting and overheating section (14) which adjoins the pyrolysis section (8); upper feeding-in means (15) for introducing a medium that is rich in energy into the melting and overheating section (14); a reduction section (20) comprising gas extraction means (21), by which means excess gases are extracted; a hearth (25) which is situated beneath the reduction section (20), for collecting and diverting molten metals and slag; and lower feeding-in means (26), by which means a medium that is rich in energy is introduced directly above the melts and below the gas extraction means (21). The invention also relates to a method for gasifying and/or melting feed materials.

摘要: A process for incinerating waste material to produce slag without the addition of fuel other than the waste material begins with carbonizing the waste material in a low temperature process in a generator to produce carbonized solid material with a high energy content and flammable gases which are extracted from the waste material. The carbonization and temperature in the generator are controlled by limiting the supply of air to the material in the generator, the temperature being less than 1000° C. The carbonized waste material and the carbonization gases are delivered together to a furnace which is supplied with excess air. The carbonized material and carbonization gases are incinerated at a high temperature, typically 1400° C., in the furnace, thereby substantially completely incinerating burnable products in the furnace and melting materials which will not burn. The result is a glassy slag which binds therein materials such as heavy metals which could otherwise be pollutants. Materials from other sources can also be added to be incorporated in the slag, and the heat produced by the system can be used to maintain the carbonization in the generator and to generate electricity.

摘要: A boiler recovers a soda component from pulp spent liquor and is able to prevent carry-over of unburnt char and deformation of a char bed configuration and to attain a stable combustion with low NOx generation. By regulating the combustion air supply, and feeding inert gas along a furnace side wall around the char bed, there are formed a combustion zone of reduction atmospheric field where air ratio in the surroundings of the char bed is 0.8 or less, a combustion zone of reduction atmospheric field where air ratio is 1.0 or less and unburnt components exist (including the case of a reduction atmospheric field where air ratio is 1.0 or less and unburnt components exist with the two combustion zones being combined together) and a combustion zone where combustion is completed.

摘要: An arrangement for burning refuse in which the refuse is deposited on a grate and transported to a drop-out shaft. A part of the air supplied for burning the refuse is transmitted as primary air from below the grate. A part of the air is also blown into a combustion chamber as secondary air. The resulting flue gas from the combustion is moved in a direct or parallel stream with the refuse to an end region of the combustion chamber, and deflected in direction and injected through an opening in a flue gas channel having a vertical center plane and two channel halves on both sides of the plane. At least a secondary air stream is blown into blown channel halves in the region of the channel opening, mirror-symmetrically to the center plane. The second air stream is blown in with a rotary pulse relative to a center axis of a cross-section of the channel halves. Two oppositely rotating swirls are generated by the secondary air streams in the channel halves symmetrically to the vertical center plane.

摘要: A process and apparatus for combustion in which a combustible material is introduced into a combustion chamber and oxidant is supplied to the combustion chamber. The combustible material is burned, and forming a primary combustion zone. A mixture of flue gases and flyash having an organic content is injected into the combustion chamber downstream of the primary combustion zone to create an oxygen-deficient reburn zone, thereby lowering the temperature of combustion, reducing the NO.sub.x content of the flue gases, and reducing the potential for NO.sub.x formation in a tertiary oxidizing combustion zone disposed downstream of the oxygen-deficient reburn zone.
