摘要: A heat exchange system is provided which transfers the heat from a fluid discharged from a device that utilizes a heated fluid, to fresh fluid in order to increase the temperature of the fresh fluid prior to feeding it into a heating tank. Thus, less energy is required to heat the fluid in the heating tank prior to its introduction into the device which utilizes heated fluid. After the heat has been exchanged, the discharged fluid is then expelled from the system. A fluid trap controls the fluid level in the heat exchanger to assure maximum heat transfer capability. An antisiphon valve is provided in the fresh fluid input of the heat exchange coil in order to prevent discharged fluid from contaminating the fresh fluid source in the event of a rupture in the heat exchance coil. The fluid trap is provided with a pressure activated gate valve which deactivates the fluid trap in the event that the fresh fluid intake pressure decreases below a predetermined level, and thus further prevents contamination of the fresh input fluid by the discharged fluid.

摘要: This heat recovery device replaces the floor drain in a common residential shower. A large circular pan joins flush with the shower stall floor and funnels greywater into the drain piping. The circular pan contains the heat transfer device which preheats the incoming cold water and recovers approximately half of the heat that would otherwise be lost. The incoming cold water travels through a water turbine where it rotates an impeller. The impeller is magnetically coupled with a rotary whisk. The rotary motion continuously washes the draining greywater over a spiral warming coil. The spiral coil transfers the heat to the incoming fresh water as it travels to the shower's mixing valve.

摘要: An integrated renewable energy and asset system is provided. In some embodiments, the system comprises: an existing parking lot positioned adjacent to a building structure, wherein the existing parking lot has an associated pattern; bore holes that are formed into the existing parking lot, wherein the bore holes are organized based on the pattern of the existing parking lot; vertical columns inserted into at least a first portion of the bore holes, wherein: crossbeams are installed on an upper portion of a vertical column to form a support structure; and a canopy is connected to the crossbeams, wherein the canopy is formed from multiple attached photovoltaic modules and thermal tubes are integrated with the photovoltaic modules; geothermal tubes that capture thermal energy are inserted into at least a second portion of the bore holes, wherein each of the thermal tubes and each of the geothermal tubes is connected to a geothermal heat pump and wherein each of the thermal tubes is connected to the geothermal heat pump; and a hardware processor that is configured to: receive sensor information from sensors disposed on the canopy; determine whether to direct at least a portion of the thermal energy captured using the geothermal tubes to the solar thermal panels based on the received sensor information; and cause the heat captured using the geothermal tubes to be directed to the solar thermal panels based on the determination.

摘要: A system is provided for heat recovery from shower greywater. An outlet for greywater is connected to a heat exchanger's inlet for greywater and the heat exchanger is designed so that a cold supply water flows in the opposite direction through the heat exchanger relative to the relatively hot greywater, so that heat exchange works under a counterflow principle and heat energy is transferred from the hot greywater to the cold supply water. A manifold having a nozzle outlet for hot supply water is connected to a waste pipe so that the manifold nozzle outlet for hot supply water opens into the waste pipe at a position downstream of the waste pipe inlet for greywater but upstream of the waste pipe outlet for greywater.

摘要: The invention relates to a floor drain comprising a drain compartment having a bottom, at least one side and an open upper portion. The bottom and the at least one side together define a space to collect waste water. The bottom comprises an opening for a drain trap. The floor drain further comprises a heat exchanger element, receivable in the space of the drain compartment, for transferring heat present in the waste water to fresh water. The heat exchanger element is provided with a first connection and a second connection. The first connection and the second connection are arranged inside the space of the drain compartment. A first conduit is connected to the first connection and a second conduit is connected to the second connection.

The heat exchanger has a drain pan, a heat exchanger unit that is arranged in the drain pan, and a distributing element for distributing draining wastewater over the heat exchanger unit. The heat exchanger unit has multiple tube portions that follow one another sequentially and are connected to one another by diverting portions. Each two horizontally running tube portions that follow one another and that are thus connected by a deflecting portion are arranged one over the other, and wastewater, which is dripping or flowing down, is sprinkled on or flows over the tube portions one after the other.
