    摘要: An automatic by-pass valving system for an electrical cable system wherein insulating fluid at a pressure above atmospheric pressure is supplied to an electrical power cable, such as a pipe-type or self-contained cable, having a fluid flow channel and having at least one hydraulic stop interrupting the flow of fluid between the channels of adjacent portions of the cable which are at different elevations. The valving system comprises a check valve, which allows fluid flow only in a first direction, from the lower elevation portion to the higher elevation portion, and a flow-limiting valve, which allows fluid flow only in a second direction, from the higher elevation portion to the lower elevation portion, at a reduced rate. Preferably, a relief valve is also provided to allow fluid flow in the second direction at a higher rate if the fluid pressure difference in the second direction is exceeded by a predetermined amount. The valving system limits the loss of the insulating fluid from the cable when the lower elevation portion is ruptured, protecting the environment, while permitting a limited flow from the point of rupture to protect the cable from contamination.

    摘要: A brake pressure regulator comprising a hydraulically actuable slide valve integrated in a receiving bore within the valve accommodating body. The slide valve, in response to the switching position of the electromagnetic valves, controls the pressure fluid volume between a pressure fluid source and a pressure fluid consumer. The pressure regulator includes pressure fluid channels terminating on both front faces of the slide valve which are hydraulically connected through an inlet valve to the pressure fluid consumer. Preferably the slide valve includes a circular groove provided with a control edge and interconnecting the pressure fluid source and the inlet valve through a feed-in channel. The invention employs the principle of preventing leakage flows from occurring by suitably arranging pressure fluid channels and sealing elements and by pointedly guiding the pressure fluid flow.

A precisely formed leakage unit spaced from the leakport establishes continuous flow from the input to the output. The leakage unit includes an opening in the body of the regulator and a separate orifice unit having an integral molded body and internal precision orifice establishing the continuous flow. The molded body fits within the opening and is firmly attached to the body to create a precise control of flow therethrough. The orifice has a diameter in the range of about 0.001 to 0.030 inches, and establishes precise low flows. The separate orifice unit includes an elongated tubular body with an internal orifice molded as single integral members.

    摘要: A combination pressure regulating and flow control valve which includes a valve body and cover means having an upstream port and a downstream port, and a fluid passage interconnecting said ports. An adjustable pressure regulating valve means is operatively mounted in said fluid passage for regulating the pressure of fluid which enters from the upstream port. In parallel with said pressure regulating valve means is optionally mounted a spring biased check valve means to allow free flow back to the upstream port if the pressure regulating valve is closed to such flow. An adjustable flow control valve means is operatively mounted in said fluid passage downstream of said regulating valve means for providing a metering action on fluid flowing through said fluid passage. In parallel with said flow control valve means is a spring biased check valve means. Said last named check valve means can be interchangeably mounted to either allow free flow from said regulating means to said downstream port and prevent reverse flow except through said flow control valve means, or to prevent flow from said regulating means to said downstream port except through said flow control valve means and to allow free flow from said downstream port to said regulating valve. A parallel second fluid passage may be incorporated in the valve body from said upstream port to said downstream port. Operably mounted in said parallel second fluid passage is an adjustable spring loaded check valve means. This check valve is mounted so as to prevent flow from said upstream port to said downstream port. When flow takes place from said downstream port to said upstream port the adjustable spring means can be set to allow no flow through said parallel passage, or to allow flow until a preset pressure at the downstream port is reached then to close against flow, or to allow free flow from said downstream port to said upstream port.

    摘要: Variable orifice meter assembly for determining the total volume of gas flowing through the assembly by measuring only a portion thereof, comprising a positive displacement meter associated with a first stage input regulator and a second stage output regulator. The regulators are directly connected for gas flow therebetween and are also connected to the meter for gas flow from the input regulator through the meter to the output regulator. The output regulator is provided with a valve assembly comprising a secondary valve connected to a main valve, the main valve controlling the direct flow of gas from the input regulator to the output regulator and the secondary valve controlling the flow of gas through the meter. Both valves are mechanically activated for simultaneous unitary operation. The meter is activated by the portion of the total gas flowing therethrough but is calibrated so as to record the total flow of gas through the assembly.
