摘要: Shaft assemblies include an elongate shaft having a plurality of closely spaced apart external notches with wall segments having a greater outer diameter than an outer diameter of the notches residing therebetween and at least one self-retaining locking ring that engages one of the notches to axially lock into position on the shaft and provide a pull out force that is between about 100 lbf to about 1000 lbf. The notches can have a width that is between about 0.010 inches to about 0.020 inches, on average, and a depth that is between about 0.001 inches to about 0.010 inches, on average.

摘要: An oil transfer assembly supplies oil into a moving, rotating tube extending along an axis. The assembly is provided with a support plate transversal to the axis and a sleeve, which is angularly fixed with respect to the support plate, it is configured to be coupled in a sliding and watertight way to a terminal section of the inlet of said tube and has at least one chamber for transferring oil into said terminal section of the inlet. The assembly is also equipped with at least two tubular bodies, which project axially from the support plate, define between them an annular channel communicating with the chamber and join the sleeve to the support plate in a watertight manner and with clearances so as to leave freedom of orientation of the sleeve around any direction orthogonal to the axis.

摘要: A radial control shaft for a device for controlling the pitch of fan blades of a turbine engine having an unducted fan, is disclosed. The shaft includes an external portion that is designed to be mounted in the control device from its outside and to be coupled to at least one fan blade in order to adjust its pitch, and an internal portion, independent of the external portion, that is designed to be mounted from the inside of the control device, to be connected to a load transfer bearing in order to pivot the shaft about a radial axis, and to close an oil enclosure in which the bearing is housed, the external and internal portions of the shaft being coupled to each other. A method of mounting such a shaft and a control device including such a shaft are also disclosed.

An inner bearing race surface defined between a pair of lands extends radially outwardly of the inner bearing race surface, with one of the lands extending to the second end. The bearing race surface is defined by inner face surfaces of the lands. The inner bearing race surface extends for an axial distance between the inner facing surfaces along a central axis C of the body and defines a first distance. A second distance defines an outer diameter of the inner bearing race surface is defined as a second distance and a ratio of the first distance to the second distance being between 0.20 and 0.30. An integrated drive generator and a method are also disclosed.

The first and second sets of apertures are arranged in first and second planes arranged perpendicularly to the axis of the shaft. The second plane is spaced axially downstream from the first plane. Each aperture in the second set of apertures is circumferentially displaced in a second circumferential direction from a circumferential mid position between the two apertures in the first set of apertures to reduce the stresses in the shaft.

摘要: A method may be utilized to produce a steering spindle part configured as a hollow shaft and having a connecting portion at its end. At least a part of the connecting portion includes increased wall thickness relative to a portion of the steering spindle part adjoining the connecting portion. The method may involve providing a circular, hollow cylindrical tube with an inner surface that is smooth in a circumferential direction, providing a circular, hollow cylindrical sleeve with an outer surface that is smooth in a circumferential direction, inserting the sleeve into an end portion of the tube, and jointly deforming the end portion of the tube and the sleeve such that a flow of material occurs. This flow may form positively locking elements on the tube and the sleeve that engage into one another in the circumferential direction and generate positive locking in the circumferential direction.
